LOL!  It was back when I first started using dual coil RBA's with a lot of airflow.  My 24mg 50/50 juice was just too much.  I still have it somewhere.  I am currently using the Wizard Labs stuff right now when I make juice, and it is pretty good.  My work has kept me from making juice or any "hobby" stuff for a while....my life has gone from busy, to OMG.

Found out the hard way that this is an important ingredient to getting a good mix.  Used "pure" VG from a health food store, but  "kosher" wasn't listed on the label.  Don't know what the difference is between "pure" and "pure kosher", but it sure makes a difference in taste.  Juice  mixed with VG from the health food store tasted like ...... well, have no comparison, but it sure tasted nasty.  My "pure and kosher" now comes premixed with nic from Wizard Labs.

As far as Mods go, if you don't mind the size I would suggest that you have a look at the Wismec Reuleaux RX200. You can find them for around $40-$45. They are a 200 Watt 3-18650 battery Mod. For any regulated Mod I would recommend Samsung 18650 25R5s (~$5 ea.), get a set of them for the Mod and another set to have charged and ready to swap out. You should also pick up a 18650 4-bay charger (~$30). Another Mod I like is the Joyetech Cuboid 150 or 200 (2-18650s). Both Mods will cover you well for nearly any Temperature Control (TC) and Wattage Vaping as you go foreward. My tank preferences have advanced but you could go for an Aspire Nautilus (tighter draw, less air flow) for around $28. I like direct lung with easy unrestricted draw so I like FreeMax Starre Pro tank (they come with TC, Ni200, coils only so if you want straight wattage you will have to buy some Kanthal coils). Vapeston Magnus is also a good tank. I also have some Aspire Atlantis tanks as well.

Most of us on this forum use vaping as a means to get off cigarettes. While we believe that vaping is less harmful than smoking tobacco, there are no long term studies that have proven research that conclude vaping is safe.
If you still want to take the risk, then I would encourage you to start reading threads on this forum to gain information about vaping, different tanks, coils, coil resistance, PG/VG ratios for different vapor output, heat output, watts/volts, different metals and wires, battery safety, amps, etc. There is much to learn in vaping. We stress safety. Always.

On the coils, it all depends on the type of vape you enjoy.
I am not really familiar with the Kanger's Clapton Coil, but most Clapton's require more wattage are a bit slower to heat up and stay hotter longer.  They seem to produce a bit more flavor than "standard" coils.  Normally if you are a direct lung inhaler the .5 ohm coils work best, and if you are a mouth to lung hitter you will probably like the 1.2 ohm coils better.  From what I am reading the Clapton, and SSOCC (stainless steel organic cotton) coils are actually use Kanthal or NiChrome wire which are best used in Power Mode/Wattage.  While the Ni200 are only to be used with Temp Control.  My advice is to stick with the Power Mode for a bit, until you get used to your mod, then try the Ni200 and Temp Control when you get accustom to the mod/tank.
Only you can figure out the best numbers to use with your personal preferences, your tank, and your juice.  I start with my favorite juice, prime up a new coil, fill the tank, let it sit for a while, make a few pulls with the air slots closed not firing the mod, then set it at about 15 - 20 watts and try it.  I go up until it gets where I like it.  If it tastes burnt, turn it down.
As for what you really have to pay attention to on the coils, only that you are using the correct coil in the correct mode.  They will all  work great on that mod. @VaporTron pretty much nailed the battery end of things.  With this type of mod, you coil has no relation to battery safety, only the Wattage you have it set at.  I personally don't recommend anyone going over 50 watts or so with a single 18650 mod unless you take a lot of precautions, such as buying special batteries, and a lot of them.   At 75Watts (maximum) ÷ 3.4V (normal low battery cut out) = 22.05 +10% for efficiency of the mod  24.26Amps so you would need a good 25 - 30 amp battery.  Please don't believe the wrappers that people put on batteries, there are very few that can actually handle 30 Amps and they do it at a cost of capacity (they don't stay charged as long)  True 30A batteries are the LG HB2, HB4, and HB6.  Just under these would be the Sony VTC4.
With the Subtank Mini line of tanks you probably will not be able to use more than 50 watts.  At 50 watts you are only looking at 16 Amps battery draw.  This really opens up your battery choices.  The batteries I recommend that will work great in my personal favorite order is: Samsung 30Q, LG HG2, Samsung 25R, LG HE4 or LG HE2.
Please feel free to come back and ask questions, if you have any!

You got pretty good information from someone.  VTC5 is a 20A battery.  You would be much better off buying VTC4's if you really plan on using 200 watts.  I don't know what your experience level is, or what other equipment you have, but 200 watts, day in and day out, if you can find an atomizer that can handle it, you should probably get 9 to 12 batteries if you plan on doing it all day.  You will also need to keep a charger handy as they will not have time to charge before you drain another set.  The on board charger will be no help at 200 watts either because it is can't charge them as fast as you will be draining them.

The reality of the situation is most people never get over 125 - 150 watts using a good build on a dripper.  You will possibly be using in temperature control so it may never hit 200 watts in the first place and if it does it will back off very quickly.  If you plan on playing in the 200 watt range I would definitely recommend the Sony VTC4 or the LG HB2 or HB6.  The LG's will handle much more load, but do not have the capacity of the VTC4.  At high wattages I also recommend keeping your batteries married, so you will need at least 3 and 6 is better.  I also never recommend charging in the mod, only external chargers.  With 6 batteries you can be charging 3 while using 3.
I run LG HG2's in mine most of the time, but it will probably never see over 100 watts.  My TFV4 and my juice seems to like the 80 watt range and no higher.  The Crown likes around 60.
The most important thing is to buy your batteries from a reputable place.  Vape shops and Ebay are one of the largest suppliers of counterfeit batteries.  (Most of the time the sellers don't even realize it)
Here are some of the better places to buy them.  I have used all 3 and gotten great service and good prices:
    Liion Wholesale
    ILLUMN
    RTD Vapor

Don't own one, but from just looking at the picture your decoration thought seems doable as long as the material you want to use is not porous.  For versatility, why not consider a very thin metal inner core machined to the proper inner dimension and a variety of outer pieces you could slide over the inner cylinder whenever the mood strikes.

I cut my 30mm winding from 7 down to 5 and Ohm's are 1.2 on both of my 50 watt mods. Im able to turn watts up to 14 to 15 and Im getting good hits. My cinnamon after 1 day started giving me hot sparks in my throat so I just took the top off of the RBA and moved the cotton around and its been going good for 4 days. Think I will cut my coil wind to 4 so my ohm's might be around 1.0 then maybe I can go up a little with watts or since everything is going good should I just stick with the 5 wind. I guess Im looking for a little bigger hit. I have been making my own juice and was at 50 50 but last flavors I've made is at 70 pg 30 Vg. seems to work better with the cinnamon flavors. I just redit my cotton thats been going since last Friday and its Sat. and it still looked like it could have gone another week. I just did a 28 4 wind and Ohm's is at .90 on both mod's. I turned the watt's up to 17 on both and the hits are SUPER! Did I say Ive been Nicotine free for two weeks. I beat the cigarettes!!

If you get the cotton too tight it won't wick very good, if you get it too loose it will leak. Takes a lot of trial and error to get it just right. Once you figure it out the rewicking goes pretty easy.

    I understand!
I think all of this stuff is interesting, but not something that I really use every day.  I don't care what my mod it set at, or how one is different from the other.  If it is too hot....I turn it down.  If it is too cold....I turn it up.  No matter what the manufacturers, and reviewers say this stuff isn't that accurate.  The only thing I expect is for it to be consistent, not necessarily from mod to mod or tank to tank, but when I push the button it gives me a uniform vape from the top of the tank to the bottom.  I also want it to keep from blowing the top of my head off with a bad dry hit.
Don't get me wrong.  I love the technology, the numbers and all of the associated nerdy stuff, but for day to day use, give me a good consistent vape, and I am happy!

Caution a bunch of nerdy crap ahead!
TCR is Temperature Coefficient of Resistance.  This is a value that tells the mod how much the resistance will change in the coil compared to the change in temperature.
    Ni200 has a TCR of 6000 X 106             A .175 ohm coil at 58F will be at 2.68 ohms at 572F.
    SS304 has a TCR of 1016 X 106         A 1 ohm coil at 58F will be at 1.28 ohms at 572F.
    Kanthal has a TCR of 2 X 106             A 1 ohm coil at 58F will be at 1.0007 ohms at 572F.

So the higher the TCR the more relative change in ohms as it heats up.  This is why Ni200 is still the most accurate as it changes more (higher TCR) as it heats up.
Some mods let you custom tune the TCR such as DNA200 or Joyetech VTC mini to make it more accurate based on the wire you are using.
If a mods TCR is set for 304SS (1016 X106) it thinks a .5 ohm coil is 572F when it hits 1.2844 ohms BUT, if you are using 316SS it will be 470F at the same 1.2844 ohms, because it has a TCR of 880 X 106.
I hope that isn't too confusing.

So far so good on mine.  I am very please with the way this thing fits in my hand.  It is surprisingly easy to hold, especially for a triple 18650 mod.
The crown with the .25ohm SS coil seems to be a great tank.  The TCR for 316SS coil doesn't seem to accurate.  I have it set at 40 watts and 560F.  It will produce some massive vapor, and the airflow is great, but the vape is very cool.  It is bumping the temp protection, but is very cool.  It is strange.  I guess it could be that it has so much airflow, and I have been running the NEBOX which has much less airflow.

I only paid $36.49.  I bought lot of other stuff too so despite the wait, I hope it pays off in the end. (It rarely has for me)  I wouldn't order off shore to save $10, but I bought 6 mods and had a discount code. They ended up costing an average of $31 each, shipped.  I got another NEBOX, (2) Wisemec 75TC, (2) VTC mini, and the RX200.
I have been in hoarding mode lately.  I got the 6 devices coming, 2 spools of wire (430SS and 317L SS), and DIY juice supplies.  I am still shopping for tanks.  I just don't have one that I trust to buy mutiples of.  I am looking at the TFV4 mini, the Crown, and the TritonV2.  I just have not pulled the trigger yet.

How is it possible to have a Juice that is a true 100% VG?

This is a question that has been bugging me for a while now. I have done enough DIY over the years to know that 99.9% of flavorings are either PG base, Oil Base, or Alcohol Base. At best, it could only be 5pg/90vg once the flavoring is added. Some would even be a higher percentage of PG/Oil/Alcohol depending on how much base flavoring is added. Having said that, VG does not absorb flavor very well. So, in most cases it has more flavoring added to it cutting the percentage down even more.

Another way to enjoy your favorite stainless steel driptip during the winter.

Grab a cover they use to test ejuice at your local B&M.

Cover your driptip. ( I take a cart from a V2 set up and tap the end off )

I now can use my favorite drip tip without having to switch to a different one,
and can use it when the temp drops to very cold.   Hope everyone has a very nice New Year.   And don't forget the Greens, Black-Eyed Peas and Cornbread for Good Luck on New Years Day...
