mvince201 got a reaction from christov11 in Questions for the next step: RBA
1. The kayfun/russian 91% or Kraken are both excellent choices. IMO the Kayfun will give you exceptional flavor whereas the Kraken will give you a little better vapor production. In either instance both work very well.
2. A build will last simply as long as you want it to last. Personally. I re-build about once a week on my daily setup. Some people use the same coil for a month or two months. Also, I'm sure you're aware that you can replace the wick without replacing the coil. I often re-wick my builds when changing flavors or just because it starts to taste off.
3. Although I do not see many people pre-wrap their coils, I don't see why you couldn't and why it wouldn't work. Just be careful about wrapping too many, because you will likely want to move up gradually as you get more and more used to it. i.e. When I started building coils I was building to about .9 -1.2 ohm, 2 weeks later I was building to .2.-.4, two weeks later I was sub-ohming. Different strokes for different folks I guess though.
I can still enjoy a nautilus, but only if I have to. But I know several people that own drippers of every shape and size but still vape their tanks daily. Personally I'm stuck on drippers. Have a kayfun but don't often use it.
Cheers!

I can't even go to the B&M with money in my pocket...so I could only imagine.

All the vape meets I've been to so far have had vendors who have juices to sample. Be sure to not expect to have any money left by the time you leave there, though.

Two words.
Natural selection.

Never heard of a 5 post patriot, and that doesn't mean you have to post it 5 times.

Everybody seems to really like the vision spinners. The Spinner and Spinner 2 are both work horses. If you want the best bang for your buck I suggest the MVP2 by iTaste. However, that will run you a little more than your $30 budget.

That's a nice job man! Those things aren't a cake walk!

I'd vape straight flavorless glycerin and nicotine before I'd smoke again. Just saying lol

Good advice. I cut many of my juices as well.

mvince201 got a reaction from Tam in help me reach 2.0 ohms
If he has to ask how many wraps then he does NOT know what he is doing. Research before anything. I never built a coil until I knew exactly how many wraps, what the ohm would be, what kind of wite I had, how it would perform compared to my other options, etc

mvince201 reacted to Compenstine in help me reach 2.0 ohms
In order to do a dual coil at and end up with approximately 2.0 ohms you will need 2 coils at 4.0 ohms. I think what would happen in order to get this would be 2 coils that would not fit into a Kanger head. I think the best way to do this is just go with a single coil at 2.0 ohms. If you want dual coils I think you will want to change the Target to a 1.0ohm or 1.5ohm end result.the only other way to get a dual coil setup at 2.0 ohms would be to go with a RDA so you have room to mount them.

This is true, but at the same time it's pretty easy to bum a cig off of anyone on the street at any time. Not so eas yto say hey let me fill up my tank lol

If we Dont ask questions then how do we answer properly??
Doing research checking ohms is how someone learns??
If you look around the forum you will see multiple posts and people attempting to answer questions, the same questions repeatedly.
Many links were given many answers, to the same question.
The responses were not "bombarding" him at all. But perhaps the forum was getting bombarded with the same questions in duplicate threads.
Safety is a huge issue and perhaps if by now the answers couldn't be understood, maybe it is a safety issue???
Perhaps you took the replies wrong.

If you wrap more than 3 coils and still can't figure it out, then its time to put it down and research. That's my point.

He's using 28g kanthal in the vid and you said you are using 32g in your post.
This accounts for the error

I know you didn't die or anything...but can I still have your copper?
-
mvince201 reacted to Tam in Need advice or help
Depends on how many ohms you want your coil at when you finish. Before starting anything, though, do you have an ohm meter? An APV should not be depended on to give you an accurate reading. That's the most important part to building your own coils. Safety first!

I figured since he is likely going to die in a battery explosion in the very near future I figured we better go ahead and put dibs on his stuff.
I call all of his copper mech mods.

I'm kind of in the same boat when it comes to volts/watts. It confuses me enough that I won't even try to explain it, haha. Check out steam-engine.org they have a wattage and voltage calculator there that may help!
