  1. One of my IStick 50w units is acting crazy. We have 4 in rotation and this is the first one to do anything like this. It will fire with the slightest touch to the fire button and changes itself between W and V seemingly on its own and will just turn off for no apparent reason. When I turn it back on it works fine but is happening regularly enough I am considering replacing it with something comparable price $40-$50. What is important to me: #1 is long battery life the main reason I bought these in the first place I use 1.6 ohm coils nothing below that and vape at 10 watts so sub ohm capabilities matter 0 to me Tough and dependable Battery life indicator and digital resistance indicator we well as display of W and V is handy Not a deal breaker but prefer something with a silicone case available for it I like how the cases for my ISticks make them easier to grip and less slippery. Recommendations?
  2. Yea I have to force it on but I screwed a friends Nautilus and the IStick 510-Ego adapter and they were just fine. it seems it is the base. Luckily I have a box of spare Davide parts at home and a new base should correct the issue. The tank will not screw into any of my Spinner backups at all and I have to force it onto my Istick and the draw is tight as hell but still works. Will get me through till I get home after work at 6 to replace the base. When you think you have ALL the backups at work you need the need arises for a tank base lol.
  3. Having an issue I have never had. When I filled my tank this morning and plugged in my almost dead IStick and grabbed my other one I rotate and my tank would not screw onto the battery. I have never had this happen before. Eventually I got it to screw on by pressing down harder than usual and have done the same a couple times. It fires fine, my concern is I will take it off to fill it and not be able to attach it back and be screwed (no pun intended) lol. Anyone have a similar experience? Actually compare it to a friends Nautilus at work and it screws in just fine on my battery and mine just spins. I think its my base and I have over a dozen at home so should be good...I hope lol.
  4. Well most know I am a one flavor guy for the most part. For approaching 3 years I have used Endless Summer in 18mg from Fuzion exclusively. I can't put my finger on it but almost every other flavor I have tried has some sort of aftertaste I find unpalatable. Because it is a "no pg added" liquid it creates a lot of vapor so in stealth vaping situations I keep a tank of a mix Comp at Fadora made for my wife that is a peppermint in 24mg and 80%pg because I can dip into a bathroom or even outside at times and be satisfied with a couple pulls. Even at work at times I hold my ADV in to dissipate before exhaling. I am one of those that doesn't care about the vapor production it's the flavor and nicotine I am after. In the beginning I probably tried over a hundred flavors but never tasted anything I like even close to half as much as my ADV I use pretty much exclusively and now order it 480ml at a time after working out a bulk discount with Fuzion lol.
  5. I second what Tam said. Fadora flavors are very consistent and he will try anything for you. Comp makes a vape I use deer hunting that is apples and vanilla that tastes ok but I have watched deer come in smelling it instead of running away. Also ECblends is great and all my wife uses who has vaped maybe a month less than me. Just got her another 240ml a couple weeks ago. They are the epitome of consistency and fully customizable.
  6. I have been using Fuzion Vapor for over two years vaping the same flavor (Endless Summer) and outside one batch in the very beginning (which they replaced with two 120ml bottles to replace the one I ordered) it has been 100% consistent. Just unpacked 360ml last night. I am also a find what works and stick with it guy. Outside buying a pair of IStick 50w I have been using the same tanks and liquid since about my 3rd month vaping in early 2013.
  7. Ordered 360ml of my flavor from Fuzion and got 40% off using code FUZION40 good through midnight tonight. Got 360ml for $10 less than what I usually pay for 240ml.
  8. Finally got in my coils (only had 4 to start and have 5 tanks in rotation) and went to fill my wifes tank and the weirdest thing happened. Even though the tank had the extra 6mm piece that allows use of the BVC and BDC is on it the coil flooded it immediately. I thought I did something wrong and did it again after cleaning everything with the same result. Then I pulled out one of my newer ones and the base that the coil screws into, not the extra ring, is different. The hole is bigger and the coil sits too far down into it allowing it to flood at the top. Apparently I have two like that that will go into the "rainy day" box and will be replaced in 3-4 days lol. Since they are only $7.55 right now I ordered 4 more so I have the updated bases lol. It just seems weird the tank would have the extra piece but a different base. I am amazed I have been on the same coil and tank for a week now and the coil still tastes brand new and still reads exactly 1.6ohms as it is supposed to. I am converted, no more single coils for me unless a backup situation arises. I have enough left to put a box everywhere I frequent (work, boat, home, cars etc...) and not worry about backups.
  9. Grabbed 4 more Aspire Davide BDCs from Got Vapes for a total of $25.84 shipped. Only $7.55
  10. That still amazes me. Outside Amazon.com there has been no other more consistent online supplier of anything. Literally almost three years and dozens upon dozens of orders and never an mistake outside getting the wrong thing once which they overnighted the replacement. Once I even got a $35battery in with my order that I didn't order and when I contacted them they insisted I keep it. I even offered to pay. Not sure what happened but I hate it because in my opinion they are the best out there without a close second lol.
  11. Tam Sweet-Vapes has the Triton V2 for $29.99 I looked at it but am gonna stick with what I am using. They usually have a good holiday coupon code but I am not sure when-if it will happen or what all it will apply to. I already feel like I have a new tank with these coils lol.
  12. Never heard of Vapor Fi I assume it is an ego style battery. If the button is stuck on usually there is a cutoff and it will blink from time to time. I would bet it is just dead and needs to be replaced. There are very cheap options out there you do not have to spend a ton to get a decent Ego style battery. $10-$15 will get one at about any vape shop or online source. It may not be the best one out there but at least it will work for ya.
  13. I am sort of amazed by them. For years I thought blowing the gurgle out of a coil and all over the place in terms of resistance accuracy was the norm. I thought a couple drops of liquid on my battery post when I changed tanks was the norm. After a couple days and 4 tanks of liquid through these I have now put the KPTs in my "for a rainy day" box. I want to punch myself I waited this long to try them. Definitely the best taste and performance from any tank-coil combination I have tried since starting vaping almost 3 years ago.
  14. Theoretically the power source doesn't matter if the power is the same its the tank and atty inside that makes the difference. 7.5w is 7.5w and 3.8v. is 3.8v regardless of the source. I agree on simplicity though. I only a few days ago started using the Dual coils that were made for my tank before that I used Kanger single coils in it and was fine but do love these new BVCs. I use an IStick 50w but vape relatively low power (10w @ 1.6ohms) and mainly have it because of the 3-4 day battery life. Everything is going to lung hit airy sub-ohm now it seems rarely is there a post or an ad that is not about the next best sub-ohm device. Simplicity will become harder work in the future most of the things I like are no longer carried by my preferred supplier. This plus impending regulation make me wonder what the future of vaping has for me.
  15. I thought there was a larger difference in the price but the ones I ordered are $7.95 for a 5 pack and the KPT coils I order are $4.50 a 5 pack if I order 10. Have not inquired about a 10 pack discount on these yet but will soon. Thats not even twice the cost maybe less if I can get a little more off buying in volume. I did break my golden rule and went and paid $14 for a 5 pack at my local shop (first hardware purchase ever at a B&M) and at first they gave me the Nautilus coils and I had to go back and get the other ones. I showed them a picture on Sweet-Vapes where it said $7.95 to make sure I got the correct ones this time around. I specifically told them not the Nautilus coils but the standard Aspire BVC but should have looked there is a huge difference in the look and size. If these stay kicking this good for more than a week-10 days then I will make the switch completely and my KPT coils will go in my "for a rainy day" box that keeps growing and growing.
  16. Wow what a difference and amazing they all 4 read exactly 1.6 ohms on my Isticks. Waiting on the wife to try hers. Definitely took longer to get primed but will get easier with time I'm sure. First impression is I really like them. One thing I noticed is using actual 1.6 ohm coils (not 1.8s that actually are 2.0-2.2) I have to go to about 10 watts to get to my sweet spot. I felt that "nicotine buzz" for the first time in a long time. May be able to step down to 12mg with these. It has definitely been in my lap more than in my hand and I usually chain vape for the most part. Seems to go through the liquid noticeably faster too but that makes sense with lower resistance and higher watts.
  17. Cool I didnt know if you were subbing or not. I am happy with the vapor my KPT coils put out and often would not mind a little less lol so I wondered if that was what you meant. My office gets fogged up pretty good at work as it is. I have ready the BVC advantage over the KPT coils is in the taste category which is what I am looking for. After over two years vaping the same flavor I need a change but cannot find any other flavor I like. Hoping this refreshes my taste a little.
  18. I might try that. My liquid is a coil killer too. I rarely can get more than 6-7 tank fulls out of one before it starts to get a gunked up taste and I just replace it at that point. I have a zip-loc sandwich bag completely full of dead KPT coils I need to send to Comp lol. Im gonna see what these verticals do as far as taste and performance. I am not picky just craving a change and switching from KPt Singles to Aspire Verticals should be a pretty big change I would think. I do find it funny that it says everywhere you have to remove the ring with the lines on it on the Davide in order to use KPT coils on it and I have been using KPT coils for two years without removing the ring with no leaking issues at all and it is always in my pocket getting spun and slung around. I took them off to try it and they do not like to wick so I put the extra piece back on. It worked for two years, if it aint broke I guess..... I will be glad when these coils come in. I went with 1.6 ohm since everything seems to read a little higher than what it is supposed to be.
  19. What do you mean by more discreet vape? Just curious. Do you get less vapor with the BVC than the standard coils? I just remember people raving about them in the Nautilus as far as taste went. I am just getting a little burned out on my current setup and am trying these coils to change things up a bit. Lately it seems the KPT single coils are much more hit or miss with quality than ever before. 1.8 ohms will read anywhere from 1.9 to 2.2-2.4 and I have never had a 1.8 ohm coil that actually read 1.8 ohms on my devices. I also change them about once a week or more and some guys I know are getting a month out of the BVCs. I just need a non-subohm change. I do not do lung hits, even tried my daughters IsubG to see if I thought I would like it with a higher resistance but lung hits are for the bong not my e-cig imo (sorry mods).
  20. All of mine are the kind with the extra ring on the base. Funny thing is it says you have to remove the extra piece to use KPT single coils in it and I have never done that and it worked just fine lol. Once I removed the ring it almost tastes funny, definitely different than with the extra part. I am living proof you do nto have to remove the extra ring to use KPT single coils I have done so for a long time lol. I think I will prime so I do not burn the cotton. I am used to silica where it does not matter. They work in: Aspire K1 Glassomizer Aspire CE5 Aspire CE5-S Aspire ET-S Aspire Mini Nova-S (2.0ml) Aspire Vivi Nova-S (3.5ml) Aspire Mini Nova (2.0ml) Aspire Vivi Nova (3.5ml) Anyvape Davide Tank Anyvape Mini Davide Tank Anyvape Peakomizer
  21. I have been using Anyvape Davide tanks for nearly two years. They are designed and come with Aspire BDC Coils but I have always used KPT singles in them. After seeing a couple co-workers using the Nautilus with the Vertial Coils and how much longer they last I decided to order a couple packs and give them a try. Here is my question. Using a higher VG liquid (My flavor is "no PG added" but with flavorings they call it 65% VG 35% flavorings some contain PG) but the flavorings thin it out plenty to wick fine. I have read you need to "prime" these coils especially if using a higher VG liquid. They are organic cotton so I dont want to burn them by firing them dry and want to make sure I am doing it right when I use these. Does anyone that uses-has used them primed them before using them? Should I do anything different than I have done in the past with my KPT single coils? I have always screwed them in let them sit about 5 minutes and am good to go but looking at these coils and the tiny holes I can see where wicking might take a little longer at first. Also on a KPT coil the goal has always been to keep liquid out of the chimney but with these I have read the hols in the top of the coil is the main entry point for liquid which makes no sense to me because if the top of the coil is exposed how does liquid not run up the shaft and out the tip? It would seem if liquid enters through the top then there could not be a proper seal?
  22. I am down to checking the forum about once a week and I can keep up but the mobile has issues and that is about all I use unless at work and bored (like now). It just runs so slow I usually abandon ship and look at other things when I am having my personal porcelain throne morning alone time lol. The PC version has always been better but I think this mobile version is not that great but I am not on often enough anymore to get used to it. Like I have said before I can only say the same thing so many times lol. I am a vaper but thats about all I have in common with todays topics so I just chime in here and there from work but rarely post form mobile anymore. I liked the mobile version we had when i first joined maybe better than any after personally.
  23. I never really try new flavors but when I did I always just used one of my many spare tanks to do so or just fill my tank with it and if I do not like it wash it and change the coil. I loathe Brick and Mortar stores...will not even go in one around here much less buy anything from them and it took a lot of trial and error to find my flavor. Never got into rebuildables and am not gonna start now. It just depends on how many flavors you are gonna try I guess lol. A DIYer could not do it that way cost effectively but a casual vaper could. Heck you could buy a couple cheap glass tanks for under $10 and single coils at about 85 cents each and try your flavors while you are learning to build too. I find the tasting bars at the shops worthless too because all the samplers here are 0 nic and when you go to the 18mg I use it tastes totally different anyway.
