This is common with new vapers in my opinion because they hate to conserve energy. Haha
 
The simplicity of it is that you are craving the big hit and you're simply burning out your coils prematurely but running them too high a wattage.  Especially if it's true that you are using 80pg 20vg.  
You don't say watt your coil resistance is so it's hard to comment exactly on your power/wattage issue.  
You are transitioning from smoking to vaping and they are VERY different inspite if the fact that they look so similar.  
My advice is to lower your wattage to the most acceptable vapor production for YOU and learn and understand that you are getting your nicotine in a WAY different way thsn smoking.  
It just takes a little while to get used to it.  It's going to cost you a little more to figure out. Ease up on the pedal a little and enjoy the experience and you'll make it.

Know that saying "less is more"?  Yep yep. So true when it comes to cotton...glad you figured it out.

UPDATE- GOOD TIMES!!!

So I revisited the build- cut my wicks just under top of tank level- shorter length probably wick easier to coil- more cotton thru the actual coil and less in channels. Also put an extra loop on my coils as it could easy handle it space wise and changed juice.

Not sure what it was- probably mixture of juice (seemed to have no flavour on the dripper too but was tasty as hell few days ago) and cotton clogging up channels but good times ahead!

One of the 2 cells could be weak. LiPo cells act funny when they get old sometimes. I have a couple batteries for my RC cars that do that too. I took one apart and one cell was dead, the other was fine. No fix for it that I know of.

For the moment, but I'll make some new CSS sheets that'll resolve it. Added to a never ending do to list. :D

I would much rather be green.  Kinda a Grinch green if possible?  I don't have a purse that goes with purple.  Or heals either. 

Just a tip! TC loves airflow.  Too little airflow action makes coil ceiling out at max temp and shuts it down.  That's just my experience and my advice on getting most out of TC. YMMV.

I follow a simple rule for myself.  I don't vape anything that I have any kind of reaction to.....even if that reaction is "huh...this doesn't taste right".

I hear a lot of good things about that mod elsewhere.  Personally, I'm put off a little by the name.  I know, poor criteria to judge a mod.  But it and the assvape atty came out about the same time and I just could not wrap my head around sticking that in my mouth.  I guess the other thing that just doesn't appeal to me is the "retro" or boxy design.  Don't get me wrong, it looks fine in consideration of it's intended style but for me it lacks refinement.  I would be running around going "Me Grog!  Me Vape!".  I'm sure in another person's hand it would look fine to me.

My participation has dropped off considerably.  I apologize. I still manage to drive by a couple times per week, not always posting but definitely checking in on you guys.  
I'm still going strong, vaping away, making my own juice, rarely trying anything new these days.  Still actively promoting vaping to others in need.  Very much an advocate. 
And I especially love checking in to the goings on around here. Always entertaining haha
 I've just been busy.  Travelling. I'm moving next week (not far, but a move is a move!). And I've been involved in a pretty big music project that's got my attention for many hours a week and I only have so many on-line hours to spend. I'm redoing my whole home work station. Plus it's summer and when my teaching schedule lightens I'm all about getting busy on my own stuff. I'm expanding my business.  I've never worked harder in my life but I love it, it's just time consuming!!

I'm the same as Bebop right now, not spending as much time here as I was. In my case I'm spending more time riding down the road on my bike, and less time on the internet. Been thinking about a road trip, and if I do I may not have room for a laptop. So if you don't hear from me for awhile you will know what I'm doing.
When the snow starts falling again I will spend more time here on VT, but until then I'll try to check in every day to see what is happening.

Thanks for the update!   Sounds like some exciting stuff.  Look forward to thing lightening up again and seeing more of you!

Here she is all cleaned up and happy

Hey gang... I've not been posting much lately, but I've been keeping up with the posts of others... I've been a bit busy helping my daughter get things ready for her first child to arrive... my first grandbaby!  
Her husband is in the Army, and due to the nature of his MOS and current deployment, he may not make it home in time for the birth... but we are hopeful!!
She called tonight around 6:30 and said she was on her way to the hospital because she wasn't sure if her water broke   I always figured that was something that was kinda obvious, lol... but what do I know?  I'm just her dad... 
Anyway... She finally called again around 9pm and said it was confirmed... her water has broken and little Lara will be here soon... well... probably another 12-20 hours... if she follows the norm for first births, anyway.
I'll update as we progress, if I get a chance... and post some pics as soon as I can!

This is great! And then you'd need a t-shirt for ladies that says, "Yeah, right." With a set of rolling eyeballs on it.   

Ok, so I've read endless chatter about these things so I tried one.  I'm pretty impressed.  It might mute the flavor just a sliver in comparison to say the Serpent SMM but I haven't vaped it much yet.  It is quite the performer especially considering it is top airflow.  Put a quick and dirty 7 wrap, SS26, 3.5mm coil set in it and vaping on TC.  Good fog, good flavor, easy build.  Not much to complain about.  Looks perdy matchy matchy sexy on the mini to boot. 

That's a worry you simply don't need.  I doubt you would flag a positive, but who needs the worry?  If your friend can afford drugs, your friend can afford a vape.

Forgot to add the tank has a flip top that is great for easy fast filling   Just slide  the top section  back and flip it back
