If you're looking to push buttons and be way over the top, you should try ECF (unless they already kicked you off) We are a little more laid back and drama free here, so cool your jets...
Who flipping cares, as long as the juice, service, and prices meet your needs. And with several folks agreeing with Patricia, that have been here a while longer than you, I will just have to disregard your posts in the future as flippant...

I was recently given a ECG (Electronic Cigarette Generation) brand e-cig from a friend at work because he didn't like it. I found out why he didn't like it...it sucks...lol. I stopped by a local Vapor shop in my city called The Vapor Bar. I bought some e-juice (one of their in house blends) called, Beach Bum. I really like how it tasted when I sampled it in their shop. So, I charged the ECG and took it to work, it worked about 2 hours before the battery died and I bummed 3 analogs and had about 5 Camel Snuses while I waited for it to charge. After work I was headed to St Louis ( from Dallas Texas) and I will be in Missouri till the 15th on vacation. There was NO WAY I was using the ECG piece of crap for a week and a half. I bit the bullet and bought one of The Vapor Bar's one battery set ups for $68 with a manual battery, atomizer, charger and one 30 ml free flavor (I chose cotton candy...that was a mistake). I have been vaping with it since 5:00pm and haven't had any desire for a Snus or analog. Hope I can stick with it. I'm doing it in the car now and wife and kids don't mind it.

Had the same problem in the beginning, couldnt find a good replacement for American Spirit Blacks, they all seemed sweet or smelled like old socks, as one of our compadres called it.. Try a 555. I don't care for tabac flavors anymore, but I'm usng up what I have by mixing flavors, coconut works great for me, but also remember your taste buds are out of wack from analogs, and what tastes good today is gonna be nasty in a month...Good Luck!

Now you made me go and spend more money. after all this, I of course had to try the KPT. Ordered mine on the marketplace (veteran vaper).
Now I can compare my vivi nova, Kanger MT3, Evod and now the KPT. I really do love variety....my bank account, not so much

Okay, let me straighten this out..
It's not a "my stuff is better that your stuff" thing..
It's a "I have not used this product, but I have heard that it's bad" thing..
You can't believe everything you read on the internut, I have read this and I have read that..so what.. I have used the thing, have practical experience using it, have found all the pros and cons, and how to improve them, yet your the expert. Stating that you have some type of a consensus that the forum as a whole, is what set me off. Stating your some kind of expert, and should listen to you, even tho you haven't used the appliance, but you've read about it is what set me off. Replying on every single post because you state your unemployed and have nothing better to do, and can't even afford juice is what set me off,

I apologize to all who were offended

Bcarter s reviewsi are on point, as well as many others, some are just blowing smoke, and actually I think some are supplier linked and always pointing in the same direction, and getting that discount... You can smell em...

I have never tried to provide any type of expert knowledge about anything to anyone. Only if I have used it, broke it, fixed it or built it, myself. I might read Road and Track and Aquatics Monthly never missing a issue, but I'm not going to tell you what car to buy, Or you bought a bad car, unless I have owned it myself.

Once again SORRY That i blew out my jets, but felt necessary, but won't happen again

I should of just asked myself....what would Tam do?!?!!

Okay, I have 6-KPT's 3-T2s, 2-evodds,2MTTs, another half dozen vivis, some minis, a couple odd ball tanks from smoking crow, and around a dozen ce4,4+,5 types. I kinda went a little overboard at first, then realized I only liked Kangertech stuff. The Tesla I won in a raffle, and that's what led me to KPTs. Needed something hefty on top (anal)! 2.5ml and will almost last a whole day, butI flip flop flavors a lot.

In the last six weeks, I have only used KPT's , even on my ego tpe batts....it's really top heavy....on a lanyard chain, really top heavy ..I don't care. Nothing else tastes as well, clean...crisp flavors ..and I've tested, same flavor same batts, different appliance, KPTs win Every time I go back and use something in plastic, or has long wicks, I'm tasting plastic, sometimes slight, but it's there, and from quitting the stinkies my taste buds are spot on, loving every dish my wife makes, shes not that bad a cook ! Or just my buds are back!! Yeah!!
Yep plastic, new, old, cleaned, don't matter I taste plastic !

Okay some tanks are like 4 pieces, 2 orings, and a removable tip, and KPT's are 3 total, unit, base, head, and are only gonna leak in one spot, unless you overfilled it. Chrome wrapped Pyrex, stout and sturdy, yes it's glass, guess being careful wih your gear is necessary. But for a glass tank it's feels more like a rock. And as for cleaning, hot water.

Okay, now for the airy hit issue. Yes it hits big, and if you pull on it like a vivi, your going to think its airy. Just a relearning curve, that will bring you big clouds and a awesome hit, it's just a lot more of a slower relaxed pull that brings the best out. Yes EVODD heads fit and tighten it up some, and I've tried the oring, rubber band thing around the vents, but really isn't necessary. And on a ego type batt the ring provided not only looks good, but works as an airflow adjustment, if you tighten it up against the bottom of the tank, it tightens the draw even more. I get just as great a vape with a KPT on my ego batts as my tesla, or on a few other APVs or MechMods my friends have allowed me to try.

And, as the great Mr G.stated "that's all I have to say about that"

A husband, tired of his wife asking him how she looks, buys her a full-length mirror. This does little to help, as now she just stands in front of the mirror, looking at herself, asking him how she looks.

One day, fresh out of the shower, she is yet again in front of the mirror, now complaining that her breasts are too small. Uncharacteristically, the husband comes up with a suggestion. “If you want your breasts to grow, then every day take a piece of toilet paper and rub it between your breasts for a few seconds.”

Willing to try anything, the wife fetches a piece of toilet paper, and stands in front of the mirror, rubbing it between her breasts. “How long will this take?” she asks. “They’ll grow larger over a period of years,” he replies.
    ...
The wife stops. “Why do you think rubbing a piece of toilet paper between my breasts everyday will make my breasts grow over the years?” she asks.

The husband shrugs, “Why not, it worked for your ass, didn’t it?”

Have you become an avid collector my dear? You're in good company. Can't wait til my Nahual is finished!

Take your time. Once you start in, there's no going back. Except, of course, you'll keep the Clearo's for taking to the bar or anywhere you don't want to lose your precious babies. And you'll need to vape one while you're setting one up... unless of course, you have a fine collection of RBA's ready to vape while you're changing one out. Hey! I resemble that remark!

I've removed bridges and wicks before, Mike. And I did it successfully, much to my surprise.

While I see the advantages of removing the bridge, I'm very curious what the difference would be in removing the wicks. *runs to get tweezers to experiment on wick removal*

All atomizers are "compatible" with direct dripping, but not all atomizers are compatible with your battery. You can get adapters for them, though.

That said, if you're using an eGo type of battery or Vision Spinners, the 510 (not the 510-T because that's different from what you're wanting), 901s and 306s will fit without having to get an adapter. Since you're just starting out I would recommend you go with a 510 atty.

You can change flavors but I would also suggest that you go with one type of flavor per atomizer. Fruit flavors in one, bakery flavors in another, stronger flavors like coffee in still another different atty. Each flavor will linger for a while even after you put a different flavor in, which is why, although you can change flavors much easier than when using a clearomizer, you don't want to taste something like coffee, blueberry cheese cake, menthol tobacco, peanut butter all at the same time...or maybe you might like it.

I'd go with the first kit with the Vision Spinners and then with either the EVODs or T3s, either one is very good in my opinion. The others I'm not so wild about, but you can't go wrong with the Spinners. The EVODs and T3s are easy to use, especially for someone new to vaping. Then, I'd go with a 24 mg of nicotine liquid since you're trying to get off analogs. You can cut back on the nicotine later when you no longer crave regular cigarettes. Common rule of thumb goes:

24 mg = full flavor cigarettes like Marlboro Reds
12 mg = light flavor like Marlboro Lights
    6 mg = ultra lights

Those are just round about figures but it gives you a place to start.

Good luck, I'm sure you'll fall in love with vaping like the rest of us have!

Your on your way! Startups are less than a carton, just start slow and buy liquid in small amounts, try a couple different appliances for juice. Yep it's not a stinky...just a much better way to deliver a harmless chemical....

Aquatroy reacted to CascadianExotics in I am looking for the ultimate setup
The tricky thing about your question is knowing what you're looking for. That's something you have to answer for yourself.

Do you want a basic e-cig, eGo, or mod? Variable voltage or something straight-forward? What are you comfortable with holding in your hands, or carrying around in public?

You can ask a dozen vapers what their ultimate setup is, and you're going to receive two dozen answers. Every device has its dedicated fan base....and some of these fans can get quite zealous about their devices. I don't know how many times I see lost newbies looking for advice, only to get a hundred people screaming in favor of their preferred device with little regard to the needs of the person asking.

My best advice is to go to YouTube, and look up Pbusardo. He's a pretty big player in the Vaping community, and a trusted source of information. He put out a video at the beginning of this year called "The Beginners Guide to E-Cigarettes." My suggestion is for you to watch that, and let the information sink in.

At that point, you'll be armed with a better idea of what is out there, and what questions you should ask with regards to finding your ultimate setup.

Troy, you're silly. 'Tam' isn't infallable, she's just giving voice to what works best for her and what she's learned through trial and error as well as passing on some really good advice she got here at VT.

Smokeless, direct dripping isn't for everyone, and it's probably something you'll want to try later when you're more comfortable with vaping. With someone who's new to all this I'd recommend a clearomizer. Like Troy said, maybe a Kangor T2, Vivi Nova, Vivi Nova mini and/or a Pro Tank.

I would most definitely recommend a Vision Spinner variable voltage battery for you. The above clearos will fit on that as well as so many others without having to get an adapter to make it fit. If you can wait a day or two I'd wait for the Vapor Talk Market to open -- it's opening tomorrow! Then, you can have one-stop shopping from all kinds of different vendors all in one place like what you get with Amazon. Just be aware that with different vendors also comes multiple shipping charges but you'd wind up with that anyway when you shop to get all kinds of things. If you don't want to wait, then I'd do the majority of my shopping with Brian at The Veteran Vaper. I've never had a problem with his store, the products are top quality and his customer service is even better. Everyone I've ever recommended to him has always been more than happy.

Good luck to you with your new start!

Okay, I am not the APV expert and could only suggest what I know, and thats a Tesla, but it's connection is recessed, and some appliances like your T2s won't fit. But it does have ego and 510 threads. I think you can check resistance with an electricians meter also

I have over 2 dozen appliances, clearos, vivi novas, t2s, Kanger mtts, and protanks, and my overall choice is the protanks, Pyrex, easy to fill, one solid piece with one opening, easy to replace heads, and a clean clear taste factor. Everything else now tastes like plastic! I have a half dozen protanks and won't be buying plastic again. Mini protanks are supposed to be available in USA this fall, and I will buy a bunch of these also . They have been reviewed as an airy hit, but after a couple days relearning howto puff on one, you get big vapor and a decent TH. a little heavy on a ego batt, but vapes great !

If I had to buy a plastic one again, Smoking Crows CE4s lasted the longest with never a dud

Smokeless, I would start with a spinner or twist type ego batt. Only a couple bones more than a regular batt. And a couple different appliances, to see what you like best, don't buy juice in large quantities, and do what Tam says!!

Try Vaporleaf.com, my local b&m, they have a bunch of EVOD kits, nice package.

Flavors are crazy when you first quit, what taste good today will be nasty next week...small bottles till your sure you love it, my new rule is but 3 seperate 10s, whe I finish the third I then can buy a 30,50 etc.

I was always a tobacco flavor guy, but now loving fruits, and mint choco chip"

Anothe great rule of thumb...Do what Tam tells you to do....lol!
