I may lower the post count on the mosh pit actually.

One thing to keep in mind is that not all suppliers (especially the bargain suppliers) sell genuine Joye products. While some people think I'm a Joye Fan boy (and I suppose I am) you just can't beat their quality. The reason your Totally Wicked products lasted as long as they did is because TW sells Joye and only Joye. Some other cheap suppliers sell look a likes that don't always work great.

I suggest taking a look at this article I created here: http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/Home/index.php/vapor-talk/interesting-info/100-fake-electronic-cigarettes

It will give you incite into what to look for when buying online. Sorry to hear you got screwed but at least now we can give you the information to stop this from happening again.

Well I think we can all agree on the winner here

So long as customs doesn't keep busting our chops we'll work over the next few weeks to bring in flavors in VG. I can't guarantee they will taste EXACTLY the same as VG is different from PG but we'll try hard to match them up as close as possible.

That makes two of us. I really do like my Joker, but the price was plain hurtful and reliability seems to be an issue. (mine is currently in the shop under warranty for non-functioning LED.) I got caught up in the hype once. I don't regret it, the Joker is a good unit. The Joker part deux?

    Thanks, but no thanks Vaprlife.

This is a big damn deal.

    http://www.csdecisions.com/news/9898/ruyan-america-goes-prime-time.html

For those of you new to the ecig community or those that don't like to research past E Liquid flavors, Ruyan holds the patent to the Electronic Cigarette. They are now teaming with Prime Time to commence further distribution of electronic cigarettes here in the United States. This gets me thinking, they're not worried...I have a feeling we're on the verge of a boom. This may seem small now...but Guys and girls, meet the Phillip morris of the future.

Actually...Janty put the cone in place for two reasons.

    1. To prevent liquid from leaking all over the place when a user direct drips. (If your a heavy dripper sometimes liquid will leak out of the atomizer, this was the biggest complaint with the 510/Dura)

    2. To create a warmer draw. When you take a drag on the ego the air is pulled from the top of the cone and down to the bottom next to the atomizer. This causes a warmer draw. (Like a cigarette)

Although you don't have to use it there was a reason for it

Yup I get nose bleeds quite often. I exhale through my nose all the time and have not noticed a major difference. If you notice the blood is light red then the bleeding is coming via the bottom of your nose. A little Vaseline will help. What really helps me believe it or not is placing a bowl of water next to my bed. Someone gave me this advice a long time ago and believe it or not it works.

If you notice the blood is dark and seems to becoming from the top end of your nose (closest to your eyes) this can be a sign of high blood pressure.

For now however I'd suggest exhaling through your mouth and drinking lots and lots of fluids. (Good fluids IE water)

PG (Propylene Glycol) is the primary ingredient in E Liquid and it's known to dry out the skin.

    4. The Vapor Talk members, without you we wouldn't be here. Your support and gratitude is always appreciated. I may help create the stage but you put on the show. So thank you

    5. My wife who I'm sure at times would love to walk over to my very expensive computer system and after pouring water on it, smash it to pieces. Kidding But I do appreciate your patience and everything you do, our daughter isn't to bad either

You may be new to the forums and wonder "hmm this forum has a store, can I talk about other suppliers products?" And the answer is absolutely!

We are first and foremost an electronic cigarette forum. Please don't ever feel you are limited to only the products in our store. We welcome you to openly talk about any model ecig or e liquid on the market. So please post without fear of repercussion.

Well I have about 6 years in customer service under my belt and I can tell you i've seen this 10,000 times. It's the typical "If I act super upset even though I know im not in the right.... maybe they will shoot me a freebie, and if not i'll blow it out of proportion until they do"

Judging by the way the customer presents himself here it's obvious that he is a fairly knowledgeable person BUT when your so used to breaking down every conversation here is where my issue with this stands.

"Eighty dollars, EIGHTY DOLLARS!!!!! down the drain. & they want another $40(with shipping) to fix it(i.e. replace a $1.79 retail tact switch)"

I cant help but look at this and think.....so your smart enough to know it's a tactical switch, smart enough to know the source to buy it as you referenced pricing and you've clearly already opened it up....... am I wrong in thinking in the time it took him to write that e-mail that he could have already had the switch replaced?

Thats just it.... it wasn't even about the replacement at that point. Seems some people just get off on this kind of stuff. Smart enough to know (or think they do) details about regulation, licencing, FCC certifications re electronics but not smart enough to define a warrenty.

Sorry guys, being in the field.... this stuff burns me.

Well I suppose this is an interesting way for customers to see the other end of things. I'm aware of this customer and had it not been for the rude tickets we received (this isn't the first time) I probably would have sent one of the extra PT's we had laying around. In fact I think this was the same customer who mass emailed 6 suppliers demanding we drop Janty products I believe because USPS delayed his order. (Not the supplier)

Threats on multiple levels just isn't the way to go around doing things. This particular person has cursed out staff members here on the board as well. And calling the Attorney general? Great that's just what the community needs. I think that may be a little extreme but I suppose if that makes you feel better. Vaprlife works hard to create well built models and we have hundreds of happy customers all aware of the 3 month warranty which is much longer than any supplier would offer on Chinese products. I'm sure members here can attest that anytime a unit is under warranty we send out an RMA asap. Simply sending in the product for repair would have completely refurbished the unit.

I know personally just this week alone we've had customers curse us out due to units not "creating vapor" only to find out they didn't know how to use the unit correctly. We're more than happy to assist in the processes but cursing myself and my wife out (or anyone else working on the VT Office) via phone or the ticket system will get you nowhere.

A little bit of courtesy goes a long way.

Moving on, I personally stand behind Vaprlife, Mary and Jeso 100%. If you don't like the warranty period don't purchase the unit. Threats towards suppliers just isn't acceptable.

I would also like take a moment to thank all of our great customers who are always polite and courteous to us! We'll always bend over backwards to makes things right for you.

I cannot say that I am the least bit surprised...the cesspool of governmental tyranny known as New York has or is in the process of banning anything they can't make serious tax dollars off of. The state is rapidly heading toward insolvency. A pack of cigarettes is about $10 in Manhattan, there is a ban on trans-fats and a table salt ban is in the works. Joyfully- the good people of NY also have the ability to ignore these types of legislation since they have voted in these clods and supported the accompanying bureaucracy that comes with it; they can be as anonymous as they please since it will take eons to find them.
My dearest wish is that the good folks of New York state finally stand up to these bullies and vote them out, demand better of their public servants.
In the meantime NJ, CT, PA, MA and VT are a short trip away, we welcome your patronage and your money.

Some of the newer members may not be aware of the ongoing FDA Vs. Smoke Everywhere & NJOY Case. So here is a summery that was put together by Sun from ECF.

This is an action sounding in equity. In April of 2009, Smoking Everywhere, Inc.(SE) filed suit against the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), to "stop FDA from improperly exceeding its delegated authority by attempting to regulate electronic cigarettes" to the extent that FDA declared such products to be a new drug and/or new drug device combination. SE further alleges that FDA exceeded its statutory authority by adding SE’s products to an FDA Import Alert list, thus allegedly preventing their admittance into the United States.

In addition to the Complaint, SE filed a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction Motion. SE claims that its electronic cigarette allows people to inhale vaporized nicotine without the cancer causing agents found in cigarettes. SE claims that the Electronic Cigarette is a "tobacco product"

SE contends that FDA exceeded its authority by claiming that electronic cigarettes are combination drug/device products that require FDA approval. SE argues that Congress has clearly indicated that FDA does not have the authority to regulate tobacco products relying in part on the holding in FDA v. Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corp., 529 U.S. 120 (2000). SE also pleads that FDA lacks the authority to regulate electronic cigarettes because they are not drug delivery devices.

Soon to follow, NJOY, Inc. filed a Motion it Intervene in the case which was granted and advanced, for the most part, the same allegations as SE,
The FDA was quick to counter SE and NJOY and filed a brief in opposition to SE's Motion. contending that electronic cigarettes are indeed both a drug and a device, and that Brown does not exempt them from FDA’s jurisdiction. Additionally, FDA argues that SE’s marketing practices purport that electronic cigarettes are intended to "prevent, treat, or mitigate the withdrawal symptoms of nicotine addiction," thereby squarly placing them within the FDA's jurisdiction as this would consitute a "drug" subject to full regulation.

The FDA was also quick to dispute SE’s claim that the Brown Court forecloses FDA regulation of all nicotine products in general, stating that Brown only foreclosed regulation of tradional tobacco products and the electronic cigarette simply can not enjoy the sanctity of the Brown holding as it is not a traditional tobacco product, but rather a nicotine deliver system.

In the interim of the filing of this action by SE, On June 22, 2009, the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control was signed into law. This historic legislation granted authority to regulate tobacco products to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The Honorable Justice, Richard J. Leon, who is assigned this case in Federal District Court in Washington D.C. requested a rehearing and further briefing from the parties after the enactment of this litigation. This delayed SE’s and NJOY’s request for injunctive relief right though the summer and into the fall.

In September, ASH filed an Amicus Curiae (Friend of the Court) Brief in Support of the FDA, followed by another Amicus Curiae Brief filed ad hoc by a group of E-cigarette users called the Alliance.

On January 14, 2010, some 10 months after this litigation was first filed, the Honorable Judge Leon issued a ruling, granting SE and NJOY a Preliminary Injunction against the FDA to stop the FDA embargo against SE and NJOY’s products coming into the United States. See Attachment 7111.

The FDA quickly requested an Interlocutory Appeal and a Stay of Judge Leon’s ruling.

On February 2, 2010, the Appeals Court (DC Circuit), issued an Administrative Stay of Judge Leon’s ruling and on March 31, 2010, the Court granted the FDA’s Request for a Stay of Judge Leon’s ruling pending the Appeal. The Court also denied SE’s and NJOY’s Motion to Strike the Stay.

We pick up the Case at this juncture on Appeal.

    CONSIDERATIONS:

No matter how the Appeals Court or Judge Leon rules, the e-cigarette is going to be subject to regulations. If the Court determines the E-cigarette to be a "tobacco" product, the FDA will not be able to ban it, but would be able to make reasonable regulations such as no flavorings and a reduction in nicotine levels. The FDA can also mandate many other reasonable regulations such as possibly tamper proof and "dose specific" cartridges thereby rendering bulk e-liquid banned.

Should the Court find that the E-cigarette is in fact a medical device and drug combination, then the FDA can ban the E-cigarette until the requisite applications are made by Manufactures or Suppliers and studies are done in an effort to gain FDA approval which is a very time consuming and costly venture with no guarantees of approval.

So every business day that the Court is open, I will be checking the Docket Sheet and reporting here what, if anything happened with the case as this case will ultimately determine the future of our Electronic Cigarettes and how we use them.

The situation is indeed one of great concern to all who use the electronic cigarette as an alternative.

HA what a way to spend some tax dollars. This is absolutely unbelievable... this subject matter is the kind of stuff that pushes people to the convergence of anarchy... this truely leaves people stunned with a gaping void for respect to our government. What they're doing isn't even legal in fullest terms, one could fight this and win in a court of law, which I'm sure many vendors are doing so now.

Not saying this is going to cause something like the LA riots... but this here has potential to go way over the top. Whether or not the FDA has been issued a warrant, I believe this to be a true act of violation to the fourth amendment.
