I was driving to my friends house tonight, vapin' on some super yummy VT grape soda. As I pulled into the Tim Horton's coffee shop (usual stop on my way to his house), I was thinking about that super yummy VT grape soda and how I probably would have never tried it if it weren't for this awesome community's pay-it-forward disposition. At that very moment, a warm fuzzy feeling filled my gut and I felt all giddy! (Yeah, it's cheesy, but whatever!) I started to think of ways that I can contribute to the community in a pay-it-forward sense. After a few minutes of pondering, it dawned on me... why limit this to just the on-line community? It felt like some sort of revelation. When I got to the window to get my coffee, I paid for mine and ended up paying for the car behind me too, (figures they had a $10 order!) I told the guy at the window to let the car behind me know I said "you're welcome, just Pay-it-Forward some day". It felt sooo good to do that, even if it cost me $11.55 for a medium coffee! Heck, it was well worth it. Maybe next time I'll get lucky and only have one other cup of coffee to cover!

    Good Grief!

Ok - well, I've tried a few and realy didn't care for most of them except the VT Tobacco (which is my every day vape).

Some things that may be of interest... Luck Strike from ENS is probably the closest I've come to a real cigarette taste. The B&H also close.

I would suggest looking at wordup as Jeffrey seems to have the largest selection of tobacco flavors I've seen. You can get the 5ml sample pack for $20 (or something like that). May be a good way to try several flavors until you find one they like.

Aside from working this weekend ( I am a cook and the resturant makes lots o' money this week-end) I will be going out and about Memorial day morning to place the flags along the center of town and to the four local cemetaries placing flags on the Veteran's graves and doing a small Memorial Services ( After all it is what the American Legion does on Memorial Day)
So fire up those BBQ's, Swim in those newly opened pools and have a wonderful safe and fun weekend everyone. If you want to you could thank a veteran, I am sure they would appreciate it.

As you all know, Nana and I won the "Pay it Forward" contest and are now both the proud owners of a Mark's Woody (Thanks again Mark!!!).

In the spirit of Mark's "pay it forward" contest, Nana and I have teamed up and would like to pay it forward. This contest is for newer vapers and we've tried to put together a prize package that will be beneficial to someone just starting out. To be eligible, you must have a "joined" date between April 1, 2010 and the date of this post. Of course, we can't verify how long someone has bee vaping, but we're asking that you only enter this contest if you started vaping after April 1st, 2010. You also must have 5 posts (so that you can PM).

The contest will be open until Saturday, May 29th at 6PM EST.

What do you have to do to win? Just post a reply and say whatever you want, what's on your mind (within the forum rules). Each eligible member can only have one entry. If more than one post is made by a single member, only the first post made will be included in the contest.

How will the winner be chosen? We'll use the random number method.

    What's up for grabs:
    1. Joye 510 Starter Kit (Brand new "no box" kit ordered from Cygnet - 2 attys, 2 batts, charger, 5 carts).
    2. 510 Hard carry case.
    3. 510 PT
    4. 5 pack of 510 cartomizers.
    5. Some extra carts
    6. Some blue foam
    7. Some fluval foam
    9. Some Pyramid Tea Bags (courtesy of FTJoe)

    and... (drum roll please)

    10. The VT Collection E-Liquid Sample Pack (this will be ordered at the VT Store and shipped directly to you)

Additionally, I will be going through all the juice I've acquired over the last six months and including everything I don't use, which will probably be 10 to 15 additional bottles of juice from various suppliers. I'll post a list later.

Good luck and thanks for playing!

My opinion is ,what the heck difference does it make?Just find one that meets your needs and wear it out.Don't drive yourself crazy trying to figure it all out ,if it works for you that should be good enough. It apparently has been demonstrated that two RC123 batteries in series cannot deliver the amount of current an atty will draw for a sustained period of time.POW

Just so you can see what McQuinn is talking about...

This is a 510 PT without an in-line battery. This will give you 5V, or whatever your USB port puts out.

    510 PT - No battery

This one has an in-line battery (see the little box). It keeps the voltage at 3.7.

    Hey Bro.

I realize this is an old conversation, but I really hope you'll come back and shed some light on your comments. They don't seem to make sense and I'm sure its a simple misunderstanding. Your atty and your carts have nothing to do with the Silver Bullet. The SB is simply a tube, a switch, and a battery connector. The atty and cart have nothing to do with the SB at all and are your preference on which to use.

I've owned a SB for many months (unfortunately, I lost it but that's another story) and have used it with 6 different attys, cartomizers, carts, and anything else you can probably think of. The battery case and switch are comfortable to hold and use and it is probably the best made PV on the market.

I hope you'll come back so we can understand what you meant.

Some suppliers will take the regular 510 or 901 and brand it with a fancy name. It will come with logos on them or maybe custom packaging. They might then mark it up and have a higher price. But when it comes down to it, a 510 is a 510. You may want to read Chris's blog about Janty and Joye. It might make things a bit more clear. Ecig Guru Blog

Looking at your title for this thread you mention the Joker. The Joker is a whole different type of ecig. Models like the Joker, Silver Bullet, Indulgence and the Chuck, (to name a few) are what we call mods. These e-cig modifications are built for longer battery life and more power. The batteries used in these will extend the time between charging. A regular 510 battery lasts a couple hours and a mod will last up to 8 hours or maybe longer before having to be re-charged.

The other purpose of these high dollar mods is the voltage. The Joker for example is a 5v mod. Other mods like the Chuck can either be 3.7 or work at 6v. This depends on the battery combination that you choose to use. The regular 510 battery performs at 3.7 volts. The higher the voltage the more power to the atomizer, which means more vapor. Most of these mods are hand made by manufacturers in the US. Except for the Indulgence, I think that is made in China.

I hope this helps, I tried to make it as simple as possible.

I've been reading all the posts and wondering what in the world I should do. I have no idea. I have to agree with all of you who have asked "How do I choose just one?". It's so terribly hard. I've been very tempted to not enter this contest at all because I don't want to chose just one person. Mark, you said..."In your post you can name any other person on the forum who has somehow either inspired you, Made you laugh, or just in general makes well-written posts or responses." Wow! What an awesome task you've given us.

My first response has to be to Michelle. Wow!! Thank you. I don't even know what else to say to that. You left me speechless. Thank you.

Okay, the speechless part is over. Here I go....

Who has inspired me? Chris & Sean's video's are what started it all for me as far as the forum goes. Dave and Brian and Jeff and Mark have inspired me almost from the beginning. Vacker and Brandon and FTJoe and TheSmokingMan and Keenan and so many others have all inspired me in their own ways. Some of them don't even post any more. Dave and Brian have lifted my spirits in more ways than one and have inspired me in untold ways. How can I ever thank them enough? I can't.

Made me laugh? OMG!!! Dr. J, Keenan, TheSmokingMan, Vacker, Brian, Dave, TeriJo, Mark, Jeff. I've laughed out loud more since joining this forum than I have for years and years. Thanks for the laughs everyone!!

I've read some of the most thought provoking, intelligent, well-written, witty, awe-inspiring posts ever...right here on this forum. All of those I've already mentioned have written some awesome stuff.

Brian and Brandon have done more for this forum than almost anyone else with their wisdom and answers about battery information. Dave has contributed a vast amount of info about doing the DIY juice. Dr. J keeps us informed by way of his videos and reviews. Vacker keeps us up to date on the bans, etc. Mark and Jeff are so great at jumping in and answering all of the questions and steering us all in the right direction. Not to mention keeping the laughter going along the way. I just know I'm leaving a lot of people out and I sure don't mean to, but this hard.

So, who do I pick? How do I choose? I think I'll just choose one who hasn't been chosen by someone else already and hasn't entered the contest. Yet.

    I'll pick Vacker.

My deepest, heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributes to this forum and makes it the great place it is. I truly appreciate each and every one of you.

And thanks Mark. For doing this and giving me a good excuse to say a few things I needed to say.

I may make an assumption here so I will apologize ahead of time. If you are 18 or older and your parents ground you or wont allow you to make a small credit card purchase. I do apologize for making a statement that does not apply to you. If you are indeed 18 or older and getting grounded by your parents, as a token of my sincere regret, I can refer you to some terrific therapists that you may seek out in the future.

If you are under 18, it is illegal for you to purchase electronic cigarettes as it is with tobacco based cigarettes. Not only will you cause risk to yourself with the law but you will also cause risk to the vendor that irresponsibly or unknowingly sold these to you. The electronic cigarette industry has been under fire for underage users of this product and these sales to minors are being leveraged to ban electronic cigarettes altogether. For the sake of the people that enjoy or depend on these devices to rid themselves of tobacco, I kindly urge you not to purchase these devices.

On a personal and humanitarian note, Picking up nicotine in the form of tobacco is one of the stupidest decisions i have ever made and I have made some doozies. I suspect there are others on this forum that feel the same way about the horrible day when they smoked for the first time. If you can stop now, please do, I assure you, avoiding very addictive nicotine now will all you to avoid writing a forum post like I am in the future when you reach your 30's

    good luck!

We here at VaprLife completely agree with everything
that Parker @ DietSmokes & Chris @ The Vapor Talk Store
had to say about rude, verbally abusive customers.

One cannot help but wonder whatever happened to politeness, good manners,
    and plain old-fashioned courtesy??

Apparently this is not the first time that this individual in question -
"John Doe"- has behaved in an offensive and bullying manner
    towards sellers.

    At VaprLife -
it's always been our policy to treat our customers with politeness, courtesy and respect -
and by the same token....we expect the same in return.

And if a customer is going to behave this reprehensibly when dealing with us -
(any of us) then we have the right to refuse to do business with that particular individual.
If a buyer attempts to behave in a bullying and disrespectful manner-
then VaprLife has absolutely no qualms about asking that buyer to take their business elsewhere-

And it is beyond VaprLife's comprehension why any individual would even
think we would pander to that sort of bullying behavior in the first place??

Needless to say- we will not be dealing with this particular individual again-

    All of that being said-
VaprLife would like to take this opportunity to thank our many loyal customers
for all their wonderful emails expressing their support of our products-

We appreciate your business and sincerely thank all of you -

Hi, I haven't posted here since my initial questions last Dec. '09 upon purchasing my first "kit" of the ecig.
I'm a 35 year smoker, and honestly during most of that time, I was struggling to quit. Have tried everything, from over the counter to prescription. Must add here that the prescription med (can't think of the name of it...sorry)...made me insane with anxiety!
Anyway...I purchased the ecig kit and, from the first puff, I did not want to inhale tobacco. I've been enjoying the ecig now since Dec. 09, but I am able to ignore it for long periods...like weeks!...if I choose to do so. This is something I could never have done while smoking tobacco. While addicted to tobacco (Marlboro Lights), I would wake up anticipating that first cigarette. I do no such thing with the ecig, and really forget it on all mornings. I only take a puff on the ecig for enjoyment, but it is not an addiction as was tobacco! This leads me to conclude that the tobacco companies enhance the cigarette with an extra something that is addictive! I say this only as an addict myself and my 35 year struggle.
I wish that those trying to ban the ecig only knew this truth!

First - if you're going to direct drip, you don't need the cart. You can take the cart (the white piece with the filler inside) off and just use the mouth piece (tip). If you want to use the cart, you need to fill it up with juice. When I used those carts I would take the filler out, fill the cart about 1/2 full and then slowly put the filler back in. Then drip a few drop on the filler until it's full. I prefer dripping and have taken all the tips off my carts for the 801 atty.

Attys take a little time to break in (30 minutes to an hour or so). Vapor production should pick up once it's broken in good.

Some juices can have a strong taste that takes a lot of time to get out of an atty. Lots of poeple use multiple attys for different like flavors. One atty for tobacco flavors, one atty for fruity type flavors, etc. Unless I have a stong flavor, I don't worry about it much... just change flavors and keep on vaping.

When my dad called me and told me what was happening, I told him to go back to his OEM 510 for a few days. I then went out to the garage and built him a plastic box mod. That afternoon I mailed it out along with two Magnums, (4) 14500 trustfires and a charger and one Delrin drip tip. That should hold him over till i get this fixed. Don't want him to go back to smoking; he doesn't either

Here's a solution to all the controversy over full-body scanners at the airports:

All we need to do is develop a booth that you can step into that will not X-ray you, but will detonate any explosive device you may have hidden on or in your body. The explosion will be contained within the sealed booth.

This would be a win-win for everyone. There would be none of this crap about racial profiling and the device would eliminate long and expensive trials.

This is so simple. I can see it now: you're in the airport terminal and you hear a muffled explosion. Shortly thereafter an announcement comes over the PA system, "Attention standby passengers we now have a seat available on flight number..."

Hey this isn't my idea -- a friend sent it to me.

Batteries aren't regulated power supplies and as such will sag when a load is applied. Raw (unloaded) volts don't mean much. We know a fully charged Li-ion comes in at 4.2V, but that's not what we are vaping at (loaded).

This guy built a tester. What you are seeing here is two 3V Tenergy LiPo's actually firing a Joye 2.1Ω atty. This is the true voltage we actually get when we vape. Note the 3V protected Li-ions (actually 3.6V batts with a built in mini regulator) may be different.

Using Ohm's Law we see that this atty is pulling 2.5A. Unfortunately these LiPo's where never designed for such a high discharge.

I ordered some of the new 510 cartomizers from liquidxpress on Sunday and received them on Wednesday. I've never had any luck with the KR808 carto's... I've used them on the KR808 batteries and with an adapter on my other PV's, but have never been impressed. They've always been inconsistent in vapor production for me. I'd only get a couple of drags and would have to wait a while before I could get another good one, and I got juiced often. When I talked to Rob about the 510 carto's he said that they were KR carto's but redesigned to have better air flow and that the coil heats in the center, not at the bottom. I was skeptical, but he seemed quite happy with the redesign, so I figured I'd give it a try.

I put one on my Spade and gave it a try. I was quite impressed at first, but after a few minutes I became even more impressed. It produces great vapor, a pretty good TH, and has amazing flavor. Two hours later I was still impressed, but figured the juice would be running out soon, but it was time for bed. This morning, I put in a fresh battery and started vaping around 5:30am. About 10am it started to die down and I figured the juice was about used up, but then I realized my LED was getting dim also. Slapped in a new battery and kept on vaping. A little after 2pm I started to get a metallic taste - I had finally run out of juice. In total, that's about 10 hours of vaping on one cartomizer. Now, I wasn't vaping heavily, but I certainly didn't baby it. I put in a fresh battery this morning and vaped through two 360 mah 10440's today, plus two hours on a battery last night. And unlike my experience with the KR808, I didn't get juiced at all... Nope, not once.

No question about it. This cartomizer has far exceeded my expectations. All I was hoping for was something that would get me to and from work a few days (45 minute drive one way), but what I got was something much better. If I only use it while driving, then one cartomizer will last me a full week. Like the KR808, these can be refilled, but even if I only refill it once, then I'm looking at $1 a week to be able to vape heavily while driving. I will never fool with a cart mod again. No more fluval/PTD/ZMF/Blue foam... NEVER AGAIN! I've tried just about every cart stuffing I could figure out to try, but didn't have much luck with any of them. If I can't drip, I'll be using a 510 cartomizer.

As far as I know, these are only available at liquidxpress and Dietsmokes. They are prefilled with exclusive liquidxpress juice. I haven't heard if they'll be available unfilled yet.

Bottom line - I highly recommend these!
