I don't think you said anything wrong. Just misinformed. Most vendors have a warning for their lo-res products stating that they are not recommended for anything under 450mah. So although it worked for you it was just not the best for the smaller battery.
Also.. I too think it's not the way of the forum to just send newbies off to another site to get an answer that they asked here. If we all did that there would be no reason for us to have a forum. We could all just head over to Youtube and merrily search around until we found the answer we need. One of the best parts about VaporTalk is it's helping family. When we get to the point where we no longer help each other out as best as WE can first, before sending people other places, that's when I no longer will be on the forum. It's the people here who helped me to get to the point I'm at now and I thank each and everyone of them.

One of my first tries at quiting I was wearing the patch and still chain smoking. I would get some wicked headaches and a big buzz. So after I figured out what was causing them I would go outside, take off the patch, smoke my analogs, and then go back inside and put on a patch. That's was one of my first attempts to stop. It didn't work so I gave up the patch. (what a joke)I also tried the gum, candy, etc. Then when I got my first e-gig I was using it and still smoking at least as much as ever. I never had any trouble with it and I don't believe you will either. It's just a matter of using your smarts. If you start to feel bad back off. (I'd say on the analogs)You really wont get enough nic vaping and smoking to do you much harm. Unless you're vaping 50mg liquid. So don't give up. You will find vaping is a much better choice and a whole hell of a lot more fun.

    Good luck and happy vaping.

So true. I've tried lots of things from vinegar, mouthwash, alcohol, sonic cleaner, and None of them have really been great.
They help some if you get it soon enough like Mcquinn said. But honestly if you let them drain at night and keep them from sitting for too long that's about the best you can do.

snubber reacted to FTJoe in Propsed High-School Principal Speech
    Got this in my e-mail

The speech every American high-school principal should give.

(If every high-school principal gave this speech at the beginning of the next school year, America would be a better place.)

To the students and faculty of our high school:

I am your new principal, and honored to be so. There is no greater calling than to teach young people.

I would like to apprise you of some important changes coming to our school. I am making these changes, because I am convinced that most of the ideas that have dominated public education in America have worked against you, against your teachers, and against our country.

First, this school will no longer honor race or ethnicity. I could not care less if your racial makeup is black, brown, red, yellow, or white. I could not care less if your origins are African, Latin American, Asian, or European, or if your ancestors arrived here on the Mayflower or on slave ships.

The only identity I care about, the only one this school will recognize, is your individual identity — your character, your scholarship, your humanity. And the only national identity this school will care about is American. This is an American public school, and American public schools were created to make better Americans.

If you wish to affirm an ethnic, racial, or religious identity through school, you will have to go elsewhere. We will end all ethnicity-, race-, and non-American-nationality-based celebrations. They undermine the motto of America, one of its three central values — e pluribus unum, “from many, one.” And this school will be guided by America’s values.

That includes all after-school clubs. I will not authorize clubs that divide students based on any identities. This includes race, language, religion, sexual orientation, or whatever else may become in vogue in a society divided by political correctness.

Your clubs will be based on interests and passions, not blood, ethnic, racial, or other physically defined ties. Those clubs just cultivate narcissism — an unhealthy preoccupation with the self — while the purpose of education is to get you to think beyond yourself. So we will have clubs that transport you to the wonders and glories of art, music, astronomy, languages you do not already speak, carpentry, and more. If the only extracurricular activities you can imagine being interested in are those based on ethnic or racial or sexual identity, that means that little outside of yourself really interests you.

Second, I am uninterested in whether English is your native language. My only interest in terms of language is that you leave this school speaking and writing English as fluently as possible. The English language has united America’s citizens for more than 200 years, and it will unite us at this school. It is one of the indispensible reasons this country of immigrants has always come to be one country. And if you leave this school without excellent English-language skills, I will have been remiss in my duty to ensure that you are prepared to compete successfully in the American job market. We will learn other languages here — it is deplorable that most Americans only speak English — but if you want classes taught in your native language, rather than in English, this is not your school.

Third, because I regard learning as a sacred endeavor, everything in this school will reflect learning’s elevated status. This means, among other things, that you and your teachers will dress accordingly. Many people in our society dress more formally for a meal at a nice restaurant than they do for church or school. These people have their priorities backwards. Therefore, there will be a formal dress code at this school.

Fourth, no obscene language will be tolerated anywhere on this school’s property — whether in class, in the hallways, or at athletic events. If you can’t speak without using the F-word, you can’t speak. By obscene language I mean the words banned by the Federal Communications Commission, plus epithets such as the N-word, even when used by one black student to address another, or “*****,” even when addressed by a girl to a girlfriend. It is my intent that by the time you leave this school, you will be among the few of your age to distinguish instinctively between the elevated and the degraded, the holy, and the obscene.

Fifth, we will end all self-esteem programs. In this school self-esteem will be attained in only one way (the way people attained it until the state of California decided otherwise a generation ago) — by earning it. One immediate consequence is that there will be one valedictorian, not eight.

Sixth, and last, I am re-orienting the school toward academics and away from politics and propaganda. No more time will be devoted to scaring you about smoking and caffeine, or terrifying you about sexual harassment or global warming. No more semesters will be devoted to condom-wearing and teaching you to regard sexual relations as only or primarily a health issue. There will be no more attempts to convince you that you are a victim, because you are not white, or not male, or not heterosexual, or not Christian. We will have failed if any one of you graduates from this school and does not consider him or herself inordinately lucky — to be alive and to be an American.

Now, please stand and join me in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of our country. As many of you do not know the words, your teachers will hand them out to you.

Not familiar with that model, but it's probably a 510 knockoff. You really don't smoke them like you did an analog.
You have to take slower, longer puffs instead of the short quick ones you did with a regular cigarette.
It's a good idea to take the atty and cart off when you're going to leave it for a while. That's a good time to recharge.
As far as length of use for the carts. Don't expect to get a long time out of the short carts that come with the unit.
If you vape at a steady pace you will have to refill the cart several times a day. An unless you don't vape much you will have to change out the batteries about every 1 to 2 hrs. Get yourself some back-ups. Batteries, attys, etc.
If you really want to enjoy vaping I'd suggest you look into getting an Ego or Tornado kit. Much better units and the battery life is fantastic. And you might also want to look into getting several bottles of e-liquid to refill with.
I'm sure there will be others coming in to tell you more but for now that's the best I can help.
    Keep us informed.

    Good luck and happy vaping.

I started out like a lot of people with one of those "SE" mall units. It was ok...kinda fun but not really killing the habit(helping but not killing). I started looking around and found a guy selling a 901. Met him on my way out of town for work and felt like this just might work. Then came my 801 and between the two of them it started to really take hold.
But I guess my real help came when I found this forum and all the helpful people here. My first interaction was in the chat room with people like Ofortuna, Mark, and a few other regulars that really gave me the encouragement to really try and make this work. So many of the ones that were there for me in the beginning have come and gone, but there are still those that without their help I don't believe I would have really given this vaping thing an honest chance. Well I'm over 200 days now without an analog and it's really been a battle of nerves. But it just keeps getting better and more fun.

    Thanks to all my friends.

Well..let me start out by saying that I don't think I would have ever made it this far without the help and encouragement of all my friends on the "short bus". Jeffb, Ofortuna, nana, Sinikal, and a lot more who were there for me in the first weeks of my turnaround from analogs. That bus really was what I needed.
And it goes without saying that if it wasn't for Chris and all his hard and endless work on this forum that a lot of us wouldn't be where we are on this journey. Thanks so much Chris for your tireless efforts.
But I must say that my most treasured thoughts and wishes still have to go to (and it really kinda hurts to say this...lol) Mark. He's been a real help and a great friend to me. I know he doesn't ask for anything in return, but his generosity is without reproach. He has help me on my trips to the Carolina's with parts and juice, and has never once asked for anything except to "pay it forward". So although he doesn't need the mod I still cast my vote for him with my greatest appreciation.

    Thanks Mark!!!

snubber reacted to Brian in 510 Cartomizer From Liquidxpress
I ordered some of the new 510 cartomizers from liquidxpress on Sunday and received them on Wednesday. I've never had any luck with the KR808 carto's... I've used them on the KR808 batteries and with an adapter on my other PV's, but have never been impressed. They've always been inconsistent in vapor production for me. I'd only get a couple of drags and would have to wait a while before I could get another good one, and I got juiced often. When I talked to Rob about the 510 carto's he said that they were KR carto's but redesigned to have better air flow and that the coil heats in the center, not at the bottom. I was skeptical, but he seemed quite happy with the redesign, so I figured I'd give it a try.

I put one on my Spade and gave it a try. I was quite impressed at first, but after a few minutes I became even more impressed. It produces great vapor, a pretty good TH, and has amazing flavor. Two hours later I was still impressed, but figured the juice would be running out soon, but it was time for bed. This morning, I put in a fresh battery and started vaping around 5:30am. About 10am it started to die down and I figured the juice was about used up, but then I realized my LED was getting dim also. Slapped in a new battery and kept on vaping. A little after 2pm I started to get a metallic taste - I had finally run out of juice. In total, that's about 10 hours of vaping on one cartomizer. Now, I wasn't vaping heavily, but I certainly didn't baby it. I put in a fresh battery this morning and vaped through two 360 mah 10440's today, plus two hours on a battery last night. And unlike my experience with the KR808, I didn't get juiced at all... Nope, not once.

No question about it. This cartomizer has far exceeded my expectations. All I was hoping for was something that would get me to and from work a few days (45 minute drive one way), but what I got was something much better. If I only use it while driving, then one cartomizer will last me a full week. Like the KR808, these can be refilled, but even if I only refill it once, then I'm looking at $1 a week to be able to vape heavily while driving. I will never fool with a cart mod again. No more fluval/PTD/ZMF/Blue foam... NEVER AGAIN! I've tried just about every cart stuffing I could figure out to try, but didn't have much luck with any of them. If I can't drip, I'll be using a 510 cartomizer.

As far as I know, these are only available at liquidxpress and Dietsmokes. They are prefilled with exclusive liquidxpress juice. I haven't heard if they'll be available unfilled yet.

Bottom line - I highly recommend these!

I don't think a lot of us realize just how much work Chris puts into this forum.
This is just a short message of thanks and praise to him for all he does to keep this site alive.

I've been having a little trouble getting an order lately and went to Chris to see if he could help me out.
With in mins. he was back to me with the help I needed and also offered to resend my order if I didn't get it soon.
A lot of places would have just passed it off as "oh well" it's out of our hands, take it up with the USPS.
I've seen on many occasions where he has gone out of his way to get answers or help to members and keep things running smoothly on here.
I think we sometimes take it for granted that the forum will keep going when in actuality it takes a lot of time and work from Chris to make it all happen.
We don't pay a dime to be here,(unless you buy from the store) and we are always welcome.
So I'm not trying to blow smoke or kiss any a**, just thought I'd offer my words of gratitude to Chris and the admin group for letting me be able to enjoy all this site has to offer.

So maybe the next time you see him on here you might want to say thanks also.
