I got a reply from Isaac at Ikenvape this morning, and they've already shipped out a replacement io6...it should arrive by Wednesday. I really hope this thing lives up to the hype. Not that it's really expensive, but it's supposed to be such a great atty...I was a little miffed when it popped right away. I do have to say that he sounded as disappointed as I was about it's immediate failure. He was genuinely concerned and I could tell right away that he's somebody that cares about his products and customers. I will update this post when it arrives and I have a little time to try it out.

I think I was predisposed toward vaping prior to knowing anything about it. First off, I'm a gadget freak. I love anything that requires pushing or clicking a button to do something else. So ecigs had a built in appeal for me.

Secondly, I wasn't getting much satisfaction from smoking anymore. I'd continue to go through a pack a day, but it was more habit than enjoyment. When the price jumped $1 overnight, I decided to find a cheaper cigarette source. Put out some online queries and someone recommended an electronic cigarette. Purchased one and "that was all she wrote".

But I'm not you.

And you're not the people who share their vape experiences online, so it's unfair to rate what you experience against everyone else. If your goal is to quit smoking and you smoke one less cigarette than you normally would, that's PROGRESS. Before long you'll be smoking TWO less. If you toss your ecig in the trash and say, "to hell with it"...

...CONGRATULATE YOURSELF for at least giving it a try.

It definitely happens, i still struggle with being out a bar surrounded by analog smokers. I haven't tried epipemods' epipe sauce line but it gets great reviews on being a muskier stronger tobacco flavor. I'd like to pick some up for just these sort of occasions. My current 'musky strong cigar/tobacco' flavor is DK Tobacco from a local shop here in Ohio called buckeye vapors. They operate mostly out of their storefront but the do have an ecommerce store, although it doesn't have their flavors online. They do ship tho and you just have to write the flavor you want in the comments. So far it works well for me. Give it a shot if you feel inclined.

Bottom line tho, you're healthier now than you were smoking only analogs so don't beat yourself up too much for the occasional slip up. Stay the course!

I was just sitting here vaping and patting myself on the back for my apparent success at beating cigarettes, when it occurred to me that surely, my new habit must someday be broken as well.

I've been analog free since April 8, 2012, and plan to reduce my nicotine consumption by stepping down from my current level of 18 mg, to 0 mg in 6 mg increments. Once I reach my goal of zero-nicotine (vaping for taste), what then?

I love vaping...love it more than I ever did smoking. I love the gear. I love the apparently limitless variety of flavors available. I love the cash savings over analogs. I love the whole "act" of vaping...and that's gonna be hard to quit.

If anyone here has devised a plan to use vaping as a smoking cessation tool, and not just a smoking replacement tool, I would really like to hear about it.

I have the exact same setup as Rixter. Been using the rebuildable Vision's with 2.4ohm atomizer heads for the past 4-5 weeks. Only had to replace 1 head in 5 weeks. Not too bad IMHO. I set my eGo-C twist at 4.2 with Spanish Gold and Cararmel 18mg 50/50 mix from Sweet-Vapes and it's perfect for me.

Has anyone seen/tried the T2 rebuildable clearomizer that altsmoke.com is offering? I'm curious to see how they compare to the Vision models.

For me, using cartos is just a real easy way for me to vape. Pop out a plug, fill it up, vape for a while, repeat. A good carto at the right resistance for your particular PV can do exactly what all the other nicotine dispensing devices do...provide good tasting plumes of nicotine-laced vapor for your enjoyment. All the other gadgets are really cool, and do things that cartos don't, like hold 6 ml. of juice like some tanks do, but I find myself returning to cartos when I don't wanna "work" for it.

To bad the Tinman doesn't have a oil gauge on it ....lol

Thanks again, kgoallthewaygo, for the info, and thanks to everybody else for your suggestions so far. It should get here by Wednesday, so I will try to have a review by week's end.

Haven't found anything as far as the condition being linked to vaping, although after a couple days of going to bed earlier and going from 4+ cups of coffee a day to 1 or 2 max, it seems to have largley subsided. I made the post b/c i was a little worried after it had persisted pretty consistently throughout a day or two, plus it was flat-out obnoxious. It's almost completely gone now, and when it does start it seems to only last a couple seconds. 2 months would drive me nuts lol, have you considered making a trip to talk to your doctor about it? If you are experiencing some sort of allergic reaction you def. want to know about it sooner than later. It could be something in the juice or maybe even something in the metal of your device. Hell it could also be a new food you tried or really anything.

It's hard to find really any substantial data on vaping regardless of the condition tho because it's such a new industry. The only other thing I can think of is if you're vaping heavily at a higher nic level that could def. be the culprit as well. Hope you find a solution :-
