I will start this off with my latest build, the dual Nano Dragon coil. I set this vapor belcher up in my iGo-W. Using 28g wrapped around a drip needle tip, 14 wraps each. Saturated the wick with some Cherry Sucker juice and let her rip. She breathes!

Hello I need some help so I've decided to go onto build your own coil 5 weeks ago due to using 3 pre builds a day. Anyway my problem is everytime I build a new wire I put it in the holes I screw them in I test it I get the red hotness then snap my wire burns off. I've gone through a hole pack of wire now just for 1 coil. Any suggestions ?

Hey hey guys and gals. For all of my fellow vapers out there who prefer to run rda's but don't like the hassle of building coils, I have found an amazing builder who sells pre made coils. www.feenzofficial.com sells some phenominal pre made coils, I bought 2 sets of the Alien Framed Staples back in April. 1 of those pairs I ended up trashing when dry burning to clean them, the other set I have been using constantly since I bought them. Even though I have ran through 800 ml+ worth of juice on this set of coils, they still perform like when I got them on day one. Now granted the Aliens are pricey @$15 a set, I feel it is worth it because the perform phenominally. Also I can't build anything other than parallels or twisted, so for me it is worth the money in the long run.

So I’m going step by step and I go to fire. I didn’t clip a underneath the posts. When it read the ohms it was .4. Beautiful. I fired and the straggle piece was the only piece to fire out of everything. It was on the base of the RDA. You can see the discoloration of the RDA. Am I screwed here? I’ve tried it a few times and nothing reads to the OHM meter. I put my baby beast on and it reads like a charm. I ****** up. Day one.

I’ve got my first RDA coming in the mail. I already had my wire delivered. They are round 24 GA Kanther. I don’t have the option of popping down to the vape shop as I’m stationed overseas and it’s a chore to find one. When you do the language barrier is an issue. Anyway. I’ve got a Cartel coming which apparently is a rip off of the drop. All the videos I’ve seen use either fat coil wires or woven like an alien. Am I going to be okay using standard single kanther? And using two coils is a bit confusing now as well. Im thinking I want to mimic my .4 OHM im used to. Is this even possible?

I am a little bit beginner with making own coils so I need some good advice.

I've got a Subtank mini mod (50w) and I have two tanks: the Original Subtank mini that came with and a Smok TFV4-Mini (got as a gift from a friend). What are the best builds for these tanks and which wire should I use? How many gauge? I want good clouds and great flavor at a specified 30-35 watts. Since the mod is only a one-battery mod I don't want to use it on full power. I need it to last the whole day. I'd like to have something that is atleast as good as the original coil that came with the Subtank Mini (0,5 ohm).

 

First of all- check out my new toy... oooh so purdy.

So- few builds on it since I got it earlier in the week. Fused claptons, meh, round wire, parallel, meh. Got a set of my fav aliens coming early next week (

.13 ohm pair Ni80 - sooo good!).

Anyways, in the meantime I found a set of Geekvape Staggered Stapled Fused Claptons- they smash it out once they ramp up but the year it takes to get there is also meh (Single 18650- got. Couple of 20700s coming with the Aliens too...)

So- Was thinking of poppin coils out, lose half a leg each side, space them out a bit and parallel some round n80 in between to help with ramp up. But best I got on hand is 26g n80.

Worth it? Reckon it will help ramp up time? Plus being 26g maybe I should even consider twisting a pair or is it like adding more metal kinda defeating the purpose? Last pair of them I got too so don’t want to go clipping a leg etc if it won’t help.

What do ya reckon?

is it safe to use vls rda in pico 25?

i also plan to buy pre build coil with low ohms like .20 or .10 less...

is it safe or okay to use that in my mod and rda? please help..

I'm just coming off sub-ohm tanks and this is my first build in my Kylin, 2- 0.50ohm hive coils reading at 0.22 on my voopoo drag, flavour and clouds are excellent.

Is it dangerous to use kanthal and stainless steel? If not. I have a stainless steel alien v2. Do you think wrapping it in kanthal would decrease rampup time?

Righteo- been wrapping my own coils for a while now- played around with some claptons, fused, parallels tigers etc. Anywho, I splashed out on some quality premade alien coils and straight up kinda underwhelmed. Think I get better flavour out of my own fused claptons (admit I cheat and use geekvape ss pre-claptoned but still).

Anyone else's thoughts on alien vs Clapton or fav coils for flav?

I did some calculating on a couple of websites after I built my ugly handrolled Clapton seen in image 3 below in my H-atty rda for use with my eleaf iStick power 80w, and it turned out to be a .62 ohm build. As seen in image 2 I've calculated mAh to Ah to see what to enter for amps in the calculator seen in picture one, to attempt to figure out how many watts I should push, based on my iSticks battery. Is my math accurate? And does this equal to a reccamended watt setting or limit? Or am I missing something or using the wrong calculators?

i just recently bought a mod, not familiar with much but i bought a tfv12 beast king tank. then i invested in a t12 v12 pre built coil. i came to find out after the pre built coils are cantium. i was wondering if anyone knew if there was titanium pre builds coming for the t12 v12

I am going to receive some Stainless Steel 20g wire today to build some coils. I'm used to using Kanthal wire. I usually do 5-6 wraps at 3mm. If I did the same with the Stainless Steel, what would be the ideal temperature or wattage to run it on? Should it be a higher wattage or temp with Stainless Steel?

I've used Kanthal in my coil builds up to this point. My devices have TC on them and someone I was talking with hinted that Stainless works better for him. So I bought some 20g Stainless Steel wire to start building on that. I like my coil to be larger. 26 and 24 have been to small for my liking. 22 worked well. But decided to go with 20g. With the TC option for SS what is usually the ideal temp to run 6 wrap 3mm SS coils?

Ok guys so need to buy some spools of wire but I suck at it. Seriously. My last purchase was a **** ton of 24g Ni200. Borderline useless. Fresh out of 24g Kanthal so want to grab a few for coil builds. Looking at prob few diff gauges Kanthal, Ribbon and maybe even SS as I have a geekvape coil of fused Clapton and that works well but being Clapton on the roll kinda takes the fun out of it.

I do like playing around with some of the trickier coil builds and experiment. Looking to get some pretty solid tc coils in the mix too. Any recommendations? Cheers [emoji106][emoji111]️
