Hey Vapor Talkers!

So as you can see we’ve added a new landing area to Vapor Talk. As we expand and grow and our traffic generates ever more new users we thought it time to start building for the future. (Almost 30k visits a month) The server took beating while I prepared the new site. (Some of you late night users may have noticed the forum went down around 1:30am for a couple of hours….I have no idea who’s fault that was ;) )

What’s the plan for the new site?

Some users enjoy posting on the forum others enjoy sitting down with a cup of coffee in the morning catching up on the latest vaping news. We’d like to offer both. While the content is limited at the moment we have a slew of new articles, guides, news etc coming all this week.

A hefty majority of our members can now consider themselves Vaping experts.  This is in part because of Vapor Talks fairly easy to use layout and because of our awesome VT members. The new site will offer guides, intro’s and how to’s in a convenient easy to understand format. Thus making it even easier for those new to vaping to hop right in.

Along with daily news content and other interesting articles we hope some of our members will join us and become VT contributers. Posting their own reviews, articles and guides. I’ve got lots of new features I’d like to add into the new site. This is simply an added foundation.

Is anything missing?

For the most part the main site is 80% complete. There is a lot I’d like to add in the future but for now I want to focus on the core of the new site. At the moment there is no login however I’m working on a integration system that will bring the main site and forum seamlessly together. The login you have on the forum will eventually work here on the front site as well. This will lead into future features such as the comment system, social networking area, possibly live shows and a few other ideas up on the “white board.”

So what’s this contributor thing?

I watch the forum daily and we’ve got some extremely smart and savvy members. Some who are experts in the DIY area and others in the Mod area. I’d love nothing more than for you to step forward and help contribute to the site. The larger the VT team the better! Perhaps you’d just like to write some news articles or a review on a product you recently purchased? Great! We’d love to have you on board. Simply let us know and we’ll create a Contributor account. You can login, write a post and submit it up for review. If you’re interested please hit the “Submit Story” on the top of the site. (contact form) (When contacting us we’d love to see some of you’re already written reviews)

That’s it for now. Lots of exciting things coming in the future. We’ve always tried to stay ahead of the curve and I hope you’ll come join me and the site as we move forward!
