e-lvt questions

Recommended Posts

For a few mths i was using a v4l vapor zeus....loved it.but i went for a swim with the zeus in my pocket.

So i needed a new machine.

I chose the elvt because its water resistant, shockproof, backup phone charger, and the variable voltage and wattage setting.

I purchased the elvt,40 amp hi drain 18650,kanger mega tank,6 coils ranging from .8,1.8,2 and 2.3 ohm range.the vape shop recomended the 1.8 ohm.

Stock the elvt was preset on 6 volts, and 3 watts.

Voltage is adjustable 3-6 volts,watts from 3-15.

6v 3 watt had to harsh of a throat hit for me,but good vapor.

I played around and set the volts to 5,watts to 8.5.i like it that way, smooth draw with same vapor my zeus produced.

Im still trying to research how to set her up for the best ussage, what coil...ect.

any pointers would be appreciated.

sofar im very impressed with the elvt and the mega tank.i have the valve set halfway.

Is there a suggested volt/watt/coil to run...or is all this user prefered.do i change the volts/watts with different coils.

I have 18 mg nic level....if that makes a difference on settings.

I bassically need a good understanding.ill search around abit.

If i run volts high ....how does wattage affect the burn.just wasnt sure if i would mess something up by (example) high volt and high watts on certin coils....ect.im on a budget, and working 140 miles offshore.dont wanna shorten the life of anything that far out.near impossible to get parts shipped out.

I just recently got into vw devices. I picked up a vtr. From what I understand you either choose vv or vw, not both. When you use vw and set a wattage the device reads what ohm your coil is and uses ohms law to set the voltage automatically. I recommend reading up on ohms law and vaping.

Good luck

after 2 weeks im back on land!

for atleast 1 week my elvt gave me problems,my coils gave me problems.

turns out ragin vapes accidently gave me 3 1.0 coils.the elvt wont burn lower than 1.5 ohm coils.

so I suffered with badly burnt tasting vapes till this morning.i also had a issue with the fire button getting stuck.

this morning I showed up at ragin vapes shop, the owner Melissa swap me a new blue elvt, and gave me 4 free coils, and a new 40 amp high capacity battery.told me to try it till Monday.....if I wasn't happy she would refund or trade up to a dna 30 for $30 my cost.

great people to deal with.

overall the elvt is good for a stepup from something like the evod, but like many im wanting more power....something in the 30 watt range.

but the elvt does the job.

From what I understand, setting both wattage and voltage doesn't matter because you can only use one mode or the other. Wattage setting is for switching tanks, say I have a 1.5ohm coil and I like the hit at 10watts, well if I switch to a 2.1ohm coil and leave it at 10watts it should hit the same as my 1.5ohm coil. Voltage however is going to give the same current no matter what my resistance, so a 1.5 ohm coil at 6v might taste burnt where as a 2.1ohm coil might hit fine.

Basically, voltage will put out that set voltage through any coil, wattage makes your hits consistent when switching different ohm coils without having to adjust.

From what I read, I don't think he had an issue with vv or vw outputs, I think it boils down to the fact that the device wouldn't fire a 1.0 Ohm coil. He was forced to use a coil that was on it's last leg and getting a burnt flavor the whole time. Hopefuly with new, apropriate coils it will resolve itself.

Vapor, you are correct though. VW= set and enjoy pretty much. VV=adjust to taste between tanks. Both may need adjustment with different e liquids.

Hey igotit and all vapers,

Well, igotit, if you're out there and you need a coil that LASTS, well, I've found the iClear 30s to use a special coil system to where each coil lasts 4 weeks plus. That's better than any coil I've ever used before. It's like the old iClear wicks but encased in a metal sleeve with holes..... dual bottom coil. Great vapor, clouds, taste. I just wish it was a glass tank. But for your needs, at least it would mean no breaking and replacing glass. The coils are 2.1 ohms.

On the iClear 30s (new), I'm using 3.7 volts on a vamo v6. That's around 8.5 watts or so I guess. No burn, great taste.

So that's MY 2 cents !

Good luck everyone. Oh , and I'm currently waiting on the mail to deliver my E-LVT 2.0 this week, I got the 2.0 bcuz it DOES go sub-ohm, and I'd like to try both the new Nautilus Atlantis I think ? The new one, 0.5 coils I believe. Also looking forward to firing some customized dual coils that are 0.9 ohms.

Also, as a note to everyone wondering about voltage/wattage for your atomizers, generally they set them to work around 3.7 volts or so, which is about 8.5 watts ....as this is about where mechanical mods sit, with some wiggle room. So I suggest you all try that at first, if it doesnt give a satisfying hit, slowly raise the wattage/voltage. If it's too hot, or a burnt taste, lower the wattage/voltage slowly. You'll dial in what you like. Every atomizer and ignition device are different. You'll have to experiment with your personal setup to see what you personally like. No one can tell you exactly where to set it.

Keep vaping everyone, and, if you appreciate the freedom to vape, get involved, with something like casaa or something. It's going to take all of us standing up for ouir rights to preserve our vaping freedom.

Keep vaping !

The new E-LVT Mini goes down to 0.2 ohms !! From 2-35 watts !! I'm loving mine, yours will be available soon !

All the best !
