Hello Yall....I just joined today...I have been vaping for a short while...3 weeks maybe...I used to smoke a pack and a half of cigs a day....Smoked cigs for 50 years....I started with 36 mg. menthol tobacco E juice...i like it....I bought it from a smoke shop down the street...ran out of juice...went to flea market...found an E Cig vendor....I asked for 36 mg. E Juice....he was shocked that I was vaping 36 mg.....He makes his own juice to sell.....He told me that he doesn't sell 36 mgs because it is pure poison....In fact he emptied out my E juice and replaced it for free with his 18mg. juice ....for free....He told me to quit vaping 36mg cause that was too high and it was really bad...I was gonna poison myself...Scared me....So I bought some of his 18 (the highest mg. he will sell)...I don't really like it...Doesn't give me enough tobacco flavor or throat hit...I like the 36 mg. when it starts tasting a little burnt...I want it to taste like a cig....Anyway I still had some 36. mg. menthol tobacco E Juice left at home....I was kinda scared to use it...buuuut the temptation was too strong...I started wanting a real cig...so instead of buying a pack of cigs...I am smoking what I have left of the 36 mg.....Can yall tell me if yall think 36 mgs is bad??? Hugs.

Yes 36 is high and not normally recommended. Do you feel light headed when you vape it... or have headaches... feel sick to your stomach? Those would be the signs of getting to much nicotine. However It is vapeable and depending on your smoking habit it may be close to what you feel you need. 32 is the highest I sell, 28-24 would be the norm for most people just coming off cigarettes. If I were you I would go down to 32 for a few weeks then down to 28 then to 24. If 24 is not doing it for you go back to 28.

As far as that Vendor dumping your juice I would have cussed him out! That is just wrong on so many levels.

I have never used over 24mg that's the ceiling most suppliers seem to have. With that said if it satisfies you and you aren't having excessive heartburn, dehydration, or headaches then your body is accepting that level. I found 24 to be right from the start for me and now I am mostly 18. My wife still vapes 3-4ml of 24mg a day with no issues.

There is nothing that is going to truly simulate the taste of burning plant material. There are some tobaccos I enjoyed when I started vaping however, and the best for me by far was one called Traditional Tobacco from sweet-vapes.com. Over time when my taste buds grew back and healed I found the taste of tobacco nasty and use other flavors now. A lot of people have a very similar experience.

I wouldn't recommend 36 for an extended period of time, but you should be fine with 34 mg. The flea market guy didn't do you any favors by dumping out your existing supply and giving you 18 mg.

Although I'm not sure what you mean by NET material?

I started out (and have MOSTLY stuck with tobacco type flavors - but they are flavored along with the tobacco - I barely register a tobacco taste with them, and more the flavoring.

That flea market guy should have just cut it to lower level is anything at all. If he is making fluid he would have what he needed to cut the nic level down. There was absolutely no reason to dump it out.

I'm not sure what NET material is either.

I dare a vendor to dump my juice without asking. His balls will hurt for a long time. I strictly drip but use 6mg and even if i chain vape for a hour or 2 i get a little light headed and i been down to 6 for months. I got to grab some juice today and might grab 0mg

Well, with dripping, the nic hits you harder, if I recall, right? So while you might normally take a 12 or an 18 out of a tank, a 6 would do just fine dripping.

That's what I've experienced. With my RDA, when I tried dripping 12 mg, it affected me as if I were vaping 24 out of a tank.

Thank Yall....I've been reading about NET stuff....Does that taste more like a regular cig?

Hi Blanche,

I've been vaping over 2 years. I've bought some NETs and they do taste more like cigs because they are naturally extracted tobaccos. People who soak or extract these get more "real" flavor because they're using actual cigarette, pipe or cigar tobaccos. They tend to gunk coils though because of the fact that the resulting liquid is not clear, but rather cloudy due to the residue from the extraction process.

Hi Blanche,

I'm new to this forum, but have been vaping over 2 years. On another forum, I have frequently read people post that they need 36 mg. Some eventually lowered to 24, some don't. It was totally inappropriate for that vendor to toss your 36mg and sell you his 18mg. !! Now if you'd told him you were vaping 60mg or higher, he could have indicated that amount would seem a bit too high. 36mg is not "pure poison." He is uneducated in that regard.

I generally vape 18 to 24 mg regular 100%VG nic based e-liquids. 36 seems strong for me, but there are those that need that much, it depends on the person and what they are used to in smoking cigarettes. I buy some ready-made and I also DIY.

I also use naturally extracted tobacco's from a couple suppliers and, in addition, I supplement with something called Whole Tobacco Alkaloids (WTA's for short.) from 2 suppliers currently, and will be trying a 3rd (new vendor) to see if what he sells are Nets or WTAs.

Welcome to the journey. That's what I've been calling it. My quit 2 packs a day and started vaping e-cigs journey lol:)

As I read up on vapeing before I jumped in a short time ago, I would have pegged myself at a high nic level based on my analog use. I am on the higher side, but not extreme as it turns out. I use 24mg, and sometimes 18mg, but I find that it works. I go through about 2 1/2 mls a day of juice a day and some of that is the need to replace the hand to mouth part of our former habit... If you feel good, get the nic you need to satisfy you, and can stay off analogs.... Trust in yourself! Good luck and enjoy vapeing. :yes

Agree, dripping will get you better flavor and harder hits, I went from 12 down to 3 after going from Protank 2 to Kraken.

Best of luck finding your balance.

This is me to a tee only I am more 18mg than 24 but have been using 24 a lot more here lately. May go ahead and move back up. With 18mg I find I have my e-cig in my hand all the time. When I use 24 I actually find I put it down for 20-30 minute periods lol.

My question would be: What is the source of tobacco they are using for this? Tobacco is treated with chemicals and pesticides. By doing this they are adding these additives to the e-liquid. So, what is the point of vaping? It is rid your self of these toxins and additives, right? I personally would not vape it without knowing what they are using as a source of the tobacco is. IMHO it kind of defeats the purpose of vaping...
