Why won't charities partner up or work with electronic cigarette companies?

I am trying to get charities such as Susan G. Komen to work with us to promote our product as well as their cause. I am getting a lot of no's instead of yes's even when the majority of the proceeds will go into the charity. Some of them are telling me they cannot work with us because the electronic cigarette is still technically a "cigarette" and they are not allowed to promote cigarettes and alcohol.

The entire industry is hurting itself by continuing to call their product a "cigarette" I refuse to call my friend such a nasty dirty name..... I call mine a Alternative liquid nicotine delivery device ALNDD!!

The FDA labeled vaping products as tobacco products,which technicaly they are if they have nicotine which is extracted from tobacco leafs.I don't think I would endorse it either if I were them as there is no long term studies as to the effects.Believe it or not cigerettes used to be promoted as being good for you.I am not sure why you would want to partner with them anyhow.It would come across to me as you using them to gain legitamacy.
