I didn't see it in the noobie area, but then I was probably not paying attention, so I think a good idea to have it in multiple places. Better to have it posted too many times than not enough. I knew all the terms, but when I think of a PV, I think of the larger things which I guess are really just vaporizers, to smoke weed. I know several people that use like the little volcanoes and stuff. I always say e cig, but then I usually call a regular cigarette a smoke or cig, because analog, just seems so goofy since it is in no way any kind of electronic device....like on a radio an analog tuner vs a digital tuner, they are both electronic, but still diff from each other, where an e cig and a cig are TOTALLY different from each other, in my opinion. The only thing that is the same is the fact you are inhaling and exhaling, but it isn't always even a nicotine containing juice. So normally I would say they each contain nicotine but since people vape 0mg that isn't really true. In a chat or board then I will say a reg cig meaning a regular/real cigarette vs an e cig. I wonder who started calling them analogs, weird. I think it is amazing just in the year I/we (my husband vapes too) have been vaping how many more devices and how much more sophisticated and powerful they are. It is really interesting to watch.

This is exactly the kind of story the FDA and the pro banning people would LOVE. Of course it is totally illogical because you can also get sick from smoking. People who smoke clog up their airways and blood stream with smoke and poison and have heart attacks as a direct result of smoking every day. So obviously removing thousands of chemicals is the far safer option. BUT as you said, from all the misinformation and flat out BS, people when upset will jump to all kinds of crazy conclusions. I hope if your dad isn't vaping that he didn't go back to smoking...because while your uncle may have had some kind of reaction, he didn't die, AND if your father continues smoking he most likely eventually will have some kind of smoking related illness...it is a question of time. Why your dad would stop if he has had no problems I don't get. I mean WE KNOW what is in cigarettes and we KNOW it is dangerous. So I would always go with the most logical, safer choice. I have never claimed that vaping is 100% safe, but NOTHING is 100% safe. Driving down the street to get a gallon of milk isn't totally safe. So to me it is a logic issue. Excessive use of nicotine CAN cause a rapid heartbeat, chest pains, etc. But it will go away by stopping the consumption of nicotine. People have had these reactions using lozenges, gum, patch, and of course smoking too. In fact, RIGHT on the patches and all those stop smoking aids, there are warnings about all those things. So consuming nicotine in any manner can cause those symptoms. As far as the skin reaction, you can have a sensitivity to ANYthing....I mean people are allergic or sensitive to latex gloves...you can have sensitivity to PG, VG, the food flavoring and any other substance on the face of the earth.

So of course the pro ban people will say EXACTLY what your parents are saying because naturally they want to get people to THINK this might be dangerous for some people. BUT I am an adult. I know that smoking is almost GUARANTEED to kill me, in some way, at some time, if I continue smoking 2-3ppd.....so as an adult I feel that I should be making the CHOICE of which products I choose to use. We don't know what is in EVERY nic liquid, and personally I would LOVE if it was made in the USA and there was a level of quality control we would feel more assured of. HOWEVER, knowing what is in cigarettes compared to what MIGHT be in the e cig....I will take my chances. For one thing I know right away I am getting rid of the danger of all the respiratory issues by vaping since there is no smoke inhaled that I am filling my lungs and airways with.

But to answer your question....how will this affect these things....it depends who is interpreting such information. Where there blood tests showing that there was some high level of nicotine in his blood? All these same symptoms could be caused by eating all kinds of things too. I have had rashes on my chest and a pounding heartbeat, in NO WAY related to smoking OR vaping. There are tons of things that can cause those symptoms.....including numerous medications, vitamins, over the counter cold and allergy meds and so many other things it is nearly impossible to list them all. I find it hard to believe that it is from the vaping IF he has been vaping. For one thing, the nic level in the juice is NOT what you are actually getting into your body. You get far less nicotine vaping than smoking. I have smoked like really excessively when nervous and/or upset and made myself dizzy, lightheaded, pounding heartbeat and sick to my stomach......I never went to the hospital, I knew I had been chain smoking and so I just stopped smoking for a bit and it all subsided. I have also gotten nervous and gotten hives....from nerves....calm down and they go away. So first someone would have to show me that NOTHING else could have caused this problem and then show me blood tests where he had some sort of level of nicotine that caused this. BUT, it could be it was from vaping...he could have sensitivity to any of what is in there....>BUT then show me in the entire vaping community how many people this has happened to. Compare that to the percentage of smokers that get sick and DIE as a direct result of smoking. I will take my chances with vaping. I think the entire thing with the ban is WE ARE ADULTS....we should be FREE TO CHOOSE. If your dad and uncle know all the same information and choose to smoke, then that is THEIR choice. But I shouldn't have something taken away from me, just because some other person had a problem with it. Plus, I don't know what he was doing...maybe he was using some 36mg liquid, whereas I never go over 18mg.....or he was chain vaping....plus I don't know his age and medical history etc. There are just way too many variables involved.

Good for YOU that you had a logical argument....it makes NO sense to consume an item that we KNOW contains dozens of carcinogens and other poisonous substances over something that MIGHT have trace amounts of something. Plus just because one person has a problem with something doesn't mean another will. Just like the people who have a problem with the PG and use VG....okay, I don't have a problem with the pg, so just because one person has a problem doesn't mean everyone will.....both pg and vg in general are safe. And even with sensitivity like a rash, or whatever....that can hardly be compared to emphysema or cancer. If vaping gave me a rash, I would still do it....better to have a rash and be alive than not have one and be dead. Anyway, I understand when people are scared and stressed they don't really think things all the way through very logically.....most people are shook up and making compulsive and reactive decisions without really thinking. SO maybe with time and your logic, your dad will realize that first of all, there is no real PROOF that this was from vaping and not something he ate, or a rash can be from a new clothing detergent or fabric softener or a million other things.....and even IF it was, doesn't mean it would ever do anything to your dad. As long as you keep vaping, because you are being logical. But personally, unless they PROVE that this was a nicotine overdose, I don't really buy it. and if it is that is something easily avoided....be careful how much nic you are using and if you are chain vaping, you have to be aware of the feeling when you are doing it too much....happens to me all the time because I am a chain vaper too. I hope your uncle is okay now! Sorry for rambling.

Oh, and I agree on that.....the same time I had ordered from VR, that same evening my husband and I ordered from four other vendors that had strong recommendations and reviews from people on here, and in the chat. Well we didn't like ANY of the other ones.....the stuff from Ms T's Bakery was so awful we threw it down the drain. Then later I learned that ALL the ingredients from VR are american made, INCLUDING the nicotine liquid, which almost all other vendors get theirs from China. To us the FLAVOR is the most important aspect, not the TH or even the vapor. Although we get great vapor and have no problem with TH with VR liquid. We get everything 16 mg, 80/20 pg/vg, medium TH, regular strength, no additives. We have been vaping a little over a year. So I don't know how those things figure into the whole equation. BUT for sure it is subjective. I have met several people now where we all seem to like the same flavors and types of flavors, so those are the people who I ask for opinions from as far as if they have a flavor that I have not yet ordered but I am thinking about, I generally end up agreeing with their assessment. But it is VERY subjective, and I consider the source....like what other flavors does the person like. If they vape a bunch of flavors that I do not like, then I will probably like what they don't like and vice versa. So I think you just have to know what you like, and what you don't like. Like RY4, sorry, never found one we like...we both hate it and have tried more than I can count. It is just too sweet to both of us, no matter where we have gotten it from. So I have totally given up on that....which is fine, so we don't like RY4. I have so many flavors now that I DO like I don't really need more variety, LOL!!

I have noticed, that I get HUGE TH IF I use a 5 volt device. On my 3.7 ego type batteries, and any other 3.7 volt device I get no TH from ANY liquid. I think it is the voltage. There is just not enough power in these weak batteries to do much of anything in terms of TH. I order medium TH as TH is not a HUGE issue for me. Now vaping on a 5 volt passthrough I get so much TH that my throat actually feels like I am smoking. I vape like crazy, and actually had a hoarse voice, like when I was smoking!! So I don't know that it is any liquid, I think it is the voltage. After all when we smoke we have a burning substance, this is just liquid being heated up enough to make vapor. But for sure on the higher voltage devices I have had no problem with TH.

Oh, and I should mention, when my husband is vaping his cherry cola I CAN smell it and while it is not smoke, I don't particularly care to smell it.....same with some other strong flavors, and vice versa....he can smell some of mine as well, and while it may not be smoke, someone may not want to smell it. BUT I don't want to smell perfume...it makes me sick to the point of vomiting. I can't use any scented soaps or perfumes at all.....but yet I am forced to breathe all the junk people spray and spread on their bodies. But like perfume, what is a pleasant or non offensive odor to some people can be totally offensive to another.

Anyway, I have a feeling that eventually it will be banned in public places too. In all likelihood SOMETHING is being exhaled....might be in SUPER minute, barely detectable levels, BUT I am SURE there is SOMEONE who would say they are allergic or bothered by something in it, and since it will be viewed as unnecessary and still feeding an addiction they will ban it. Since it can be used discreetly I choose to use it that way....NOT to accommodate idiots and grouchy people but to avoid a situation where it WILL be banned and not permitted at all. Since I can just not exhale or exhale in a way that is not readily visible to others, that is what I do.....to PROTECT my right to do it at all.

I just find it funny the things that ARE permitted to be used in public places that many people are allergic to and/or bothered by....like cleaning chemicals, perfumes, air fresheners and numerous other things.

First let me say I have never had that happen.....BUT I do not blow vapor in public. There is no reason to exhale, so I don't. I just swallow the vapor and no one has said a thing. I vape in Starbucks and anywhere else I am and so far only a few people have noticed, and it has all been positive responses. It was never my intent to get around no smoking laws and I see no reason to antagonize people.....BUT I also see no reason why I can't vape, since I am NOT smoking. We had to exhale smoke because you can't just keep it all inside you, but not the same with vapor, so I either just don't exhale it since I don't need to, especially not on a 3.7 volt device like an ego that doesn't produce all that much vapor to start with. But regardless, I either don't exhale or I exhale down, like into my chest or toward the floor. I haven't had any kind of problem at all in the year I have been vaping.

Holy smokes, the Teaberry.....THAT is ONE strong flavor and tastes EXACTLY like Teaberry gum. If you want TH, THIS is the flavor. OMG, I was coughing when I inhaled normally. But when I took smoother slower draws, HOLY ^&*%%&%&%^%&....TH LIKE CRAZY. Tastes just like the gum I grew up chewing, that wintergreen, sweet flavor. YUMMY!

Vanilla Custard....someone else reviewed this too....good yummy vanilla custardy goodness. YUMMY too.

Amaretto....this was a tad different and I think it needs to sit a week. It SMELLS like amaretto, the flavor was somehow lemonish....BUT not a BAD flavor, just not what I expected from the smell. I think this one will evolve into something great. I will try it in a week and see how it is then. I will vape the carto of it I filled, which was by no means bad or anything.

I get tons of vapor with any liquid at 5 volts, so vapor is never a problem for me. These all produced a lot of vapor. All good, love that vanilla custard. This is the first vanilla flavor I have ever had and liked. This for sure will be a reorder. Teaberry is KILLER.

juliery got a reaction from Sharon in Blueberry Cheesecake, Coffee W/cream, Cinnamon Roll
All my liquids are 16mg, medium TH, 80/20 pg/vg...no additives. I am vaping on a 5 volt PT on an outlet adapter.

Okay, I will start with the Cinnamon Roll and try to stop talking. All I can really say is this is the BEST flavor I have had from ANYWHERE in my year of vaping. It is simply perfection and I love it. You can totally taste the cinnamon, and you can also at the same time but independently taste the roll/dough. I just LOVE it. It is NOT a super sweet flavor...tastes like cinnamon and a roll, thus cinnamon roll. I went through a bottle in less than a week, even though I use Pumpkin Spice, Pumpkiccino and various other flavors too. I ordered 3 more bottles....tested them, all awesome.

Blueberry Cheesecake....we ordered this because we LOVED the blueberry. That is a TRUE blueberry, rich sweet, blueberry flavor. The Blueberry Cheesecake is like blueberry with something extra...NOT cheesy tasting or anything, but like a rich creamy flavor, like how a cheesecake would be with blueberries mixed INTO it, not just laying on top. Very good and my husband snatched this one.

Coffee, and Coffee with cream. Okay, first let me say I ordered the Coffee AND the Sweet Cream flavors, because I had tried the coffee at a vape meet. The coffee smells and tastes EXACTLY like a freshly brewed pot of coffee. It is a TRUE coffee flavor. BUT, I love my coffee with sugar and cream, so I mixed up a batch of the coffee with sweet cream and then wrote Jason, suggesting he have both, using my mixture. He changed the list to say Coffee-black, and then another flavor Coffee w/cream. The coffee with cream is really like coffee with sugar and cream and it is DELICIOUS.

As for TH, I have NO problem with it when using a 5 volt PT....I am waiting on my mods, so I can be done with these 3.7 batteries, they are just not powerful enough. The higher voltage makes a huge difference with the TH, at least for me. OMG, I am trying 3 more flavors, as i type this and the Vanilla Custard, OMG, awesome!!!

Discovery.....blueberry, grape, cherry.....VR is awesome with the dark rich kind of fruits....I imagine raspberry, blackberry, peach, all the ones you think of as being thicker syrup type fruits. Watermelon....nope, not so great for Paul and I......another KILLER flavor....CINNAMON ROLL!!! OMG, my new favorite. Also got hazelnut, macadamia nut...BOTH very good. Got Honey Nut Cheerios...a tad heavy on the honey, but NOT bad at all....definitely will use it. Butter Pecan, heavy on the buttery, but also good....I have been topping them off with each other in the same carto.....and they run together wonderfully. SO of all the about 15 flavors I have, ONLY watermelon, we don't care for....it is more the smell I think than the flavor. BUT being as we get basically 3 flavors for the price of one, I don't care about an occasional miss. We had like 40 bottles of juice from the past year that we didn't like or were tired of....and paid 3 times the amount. So all in all I sure won't complain about an occasional thing we don't like.

We tried the blueberry and blueberry pie (Thanks Nina and Sharon).....my husband promptly had me order the blueberry....YUMMY. I like that one too. Grape is awesome...both very strong flavors. Nina who gets double of everything agreed, grape does NOT need to be doubled.

Tip....you have to be careful with the doubling and tripling......I was doing a lot of reading the past day or so, and adding more of a flavor does not make it better necessarily. You can overkill a flavor, you have too much and it just obliterates it. Like when you bake, if you doubled or tripled the vanilla extract, or rum, or banana, etc....it would NOT make a more vanillaish etc cake, it would ruin the cake. More isn't always better. Of course it is all individual, and of course if you buy a bottle of pg/vg (which I finally broke down and did) from VR, you can get it in your normal nic level and pg/vg preference,....if the flavor is too much you can cut it down yourself. BUT be careful doing that....you don't need to cut it in half to fix it necessarily. Anyway, I figured it will be handy to have for super strong flavors.

The CINNAMON ROLL is my new fave....you can taste the cinnamon and the roll each separate, but together....Soooooooooo good. I say that as i am vaping macadamia nut, YUMMMMMMMMMY too....ohhhhhh and the hazelnut. OMG and don't forget the coffee, which mixed with bavarian cream or sweet cream OMG, just like coffee with cream and sugar, JUST how I love it. I am in an e liquid heaven now. I have like 15 flavors that I LOVE.....I really should stop ordering now...well except for refills.......OH and I already ordered another bottle of cinnamon roll THE VERY NEXT DAY. It is soooooooooooooooo freaking good. 16mg, medium TH, 80/20 pg/vg........vaped at 5 volts, good TH. If you are using an ego or other 3.7 volt, you may want to toss in a drop of ever clear to increase TH.

same thing here....the vapor is heavier than the air in most places, particularly if the air is already humid....but in the SW it would be dry. But here near Chicago my vapor goes lower too. When the air is more humid and it lingers a few moments, especially in a mostly dark room it goes really low, like maybe 3 ft off the ground, regardless of where I blow it. Our detectors are less than a year old, we had to have them all replaced....a code issue. We blew into ours and it didn't do anything. I really wouldn't want any detector that would be that easily set off, I would be afraid after a few times of it going off for no reason if it ever did go off for a real reason no one would be running like I would want them to be and they should be. I would think if vaping particulates would set it off which have NOTHING to do with smoke or even heat then would air freshener set it off? Or shower steam, which at least is hot? I want a detector that warns me of REAL danger. Now we have separate carbon monoxide detectors...didn't try to set them off, but I am assuming they wouldn't go off. I wouldn't want them to, then how am I supposed to ever know when there is a true emergency? It would really worry me to have something that easily set off. Thankfully even though I vape like a lunatic I haven't set off any detectors anywhere....not in anyone's house, not in any hotel or our timeshare condo, nowhere. Those condos are still being built, they are brand new builds so I would assume they have the latest detectors, don't really know, but I haven't set them off. My son did set one off burning bacon. But then honestly, I never even considered it so I can't even say for sure where I was in relation to the detectors in various places. I just don't think of all these things. I am not doing anything I am not supposed to so I really don't think about it. Places I wasn't allowed to smoke, I didn't smoke. But the reasons for not smoking don't even apply to vaping...the stink and fire hazard in a hotel type place. So far I haven't set off anything and IF I ever do I will act like I have NO freaking clue why it went off. Too bad they don't go off from people dousing themselves in tons of stinky perfume that makes me sick. THAT would be useful!!!

I would have to know the person before I would believe that. Vapor is not smoke and vaping should no more set off a smoke detector than taking a shower would set one off. My husband and I both stood directly under our smoke/heat detectors and just continually blew clouds of vapor at it, not inhaling, just sucking and blowing and nothing happened. By the time it gets near the detector it isn't warm, and it isn't smoke at all, so I don't see how that could happen. Personally i wouldn't even worry about it. Where I vape 95% of the time I am directly underneath a smoke/heat detector and never set it off. Burning toast and various other things have set it off, but not vaping. The reason they don't want you smoking in a hotel is primarily the smell.....then non smokers don't want the room after you stink it up. The secondary reason is the fire hazard, but the primary reason is the cleaning to get rid of the smell, so I wouldn't worry about vaping at all.

OH I am glad to hear this.....Jolly is making us PTs like what you are describing and he says they will out survive us. I have gone through more PTs than I can count. I use mine on an outlet adapter from VaporKings so is running at 5 volts and it produces TONS of vapor....but I am sure this thing will be dead soon (but I only paid ten bucks for it with free shipping, so oh well). The longest I have EVER had one last is 4 weeks, that was the one from cigeasy.com......the ones from V4L have lasted anywhere from a few days (under a week) to 3 weeks. I have had others too, from various places, all dead in less than a month. Jolly is charging $15 for his PT, and frankly I can't wait. He uses a horn button, so a nice big comfy button...the box like you are describing and a big fat cord, I would assume the same type of thing. I don't care what it looks like, I just want it to last. He wrote me a description of what these cheapo "cig type" PT's are made like, with a circuit board inside that dies in two seconds. The box ones are made entirely differently. I am glad you like it, I am sure I will love the Jolly one too. It doesn't need to be pretty, it needs to freaking work longer than a few weeks!! Congrats, I was glad to read your review!

When I smoked I NEVER coughed or hacked or had to clear my throat...>NOTHING....30 years of smoking, no cough. BUT when I started vaping I was coughing like a crazy maniac, tons of phlegm. All that moisture of vaping was loosening up the garbage that was in my lungs that I didn't even know what there. I talked to my doctor about it, he TOTALLY supports my vaping and he said that the vapor was loosening up stuff that wasn't ever loose enough to cough up. So after a few weeks of that, I was fine. It is amazing how fast you start getting healthy. Congrats.

Wooohooo, I am so happy for myself....vaping ONLY for one year today!!! I actually started on Valentine's Day last year, late in the day, after my husband gave me a starter kit. I acted like a TOTAL jerk about it...like he was trying to FORCE me to quit. I LOVED smoking, loved EVERYTHING about it. Smoked heavily for 30 years. When I worked and could no longer smoke in the office I would literally chain smoke the entire way to and from work and through entire breaks and lunches. I smoked like a chimney....people called me "the chimney". Fortunately I suffered no ill health effects from smoking. Of course God only knows what could pop up down the road from it, I hope nothing, and I hope I stopped in time.

But today it has been one year since I have smoked any cigarettes...I haven't bought any or had any I later found. I threw them in the trash...found a couple stashed packs here and there.

It is hard to believe that I don't miss smoking, I don't want to smoke, I LOVE vaping. The flavors are still a work in progress, just lately finding stuff I really love, now that I have my taste buds back. I can't believe I would have smoked at least 20,000 cigs more had I not stopped. On the counter I put in 50 cigs a day, but often smoked 60 and during stress way more. So 20 grand is a conservative estimate.

I am so happy for all of us who have found this way to avoid smoking! I am so glad to have "met" all of you...it is a huge encouragement and makes vaping tons more fun to have vaping friends. IT is fun trading and sharing liquids with Nina and soon Sharon. Thanks to everyone who makes this forum the fun and informative place it is....oh and Jolly too, for making me a couple mods and PTs that will make this experience EVEN better, and he has answered my endless questions about so many e cig related things. I truly appreciate the time you guys take to welcome, help and encourage other people. This is truly a wonderful "community" of vapers! Sorry to get so gushy!!!!

I don't see why you can't boil them like any other carto. I wouldn't just run mine with hot water. In ANYthing containing liquid you can have the growth of bacteria...especially since you do put your mouth on it. I have been boiling the same cartos for a year....I wouldn't think it would matter. A carto is a carto.
