  1. I'm all about the cartos too. I found the LR cartos work better for me. The key to them working well for me has been patience. Take a new one, fill it until it looks like a slushie, then set it aside for 30 minutes to an hour before you use it. When it starts to lose the flavor or not produce vapor as I like, same process - fill and WAIT. I have run into many who try to direct drip cartos and wonder why they are not satisfied. The key to me seems to be the ability to wait.
  2. My wife really likes the Vaportalk grape soda - much more so than many other grape / grape drink flavors she has tried from other places. That said, in her opinion (as a VT grape soda fan) - the grape soda is nowhere near the intensity of TastyVapor's Atomic Cinnacide. There is nothing subtle about atomic cinnacide.
  3. I have had issues with too much nicotine causing me to feel light headed or giving me headaches and trembles. I found that reducing the amount of nicotine made a huge difference for me. Also reducing the amount of VG helped with reducing headaches for my wife - always a good thing right? So I don't think it is how much vaping you do but vaping at an appropriate strength that is the key.
  4. When I started vaping, I was using nicotine mixes around 24mg and did not vape constantly. As vaping grew on me (finding great flavors) I started vaping more - but began to get headaches and the shakes from too much nic. Since discovering tastyvapor doublers (flavored zero nic fluids) and DIYFlavorshack zero nic juices, I have been able to reduce the nic levels to a point that allows me to vape for pleasure without getting too much nicotine (and the associated nasty symptoms). I cut the 24mg juice with zero nic to probably be around 6mg or less. I may go through 10 to 15ml through my cartomizers in my eGo in a week. I was a pipe smoker who was running through a pound of specialty tobacco every two weeks. This is more cost effective, definitely less damaging to my mouth, lungs, and clothes, and I can do it pretty much anywhere. I did not start vaping to quit smoking. I was looking to reduce costs of a habit I really enjoy (especially due to tax increases on tobacco) and vaping using an eGo meets that need for me.
  5. I prefer to use cartomizers - however some companies e-liquids seem too thick to work well with cartomizers. I have used distilled water to thin some liquids for use in cartomizers, but that's a hassle. Why go to all the trouble versus direct dripping into an atty? Cartomizers are more convenient, are ready to use, and less chance of making a mess due to less time spent refilling.
  6. I have become a tastyvapor fan also - 1) the flavors rock. We love the Cafe Mocha and Atomic Cinnacide) 2) the availability of zero nicotine doublers that are already flavored to match the stuff with nicotine. This allows us to down blend the nicotine as we desire. 3) the prices are very reasonable. 4) Custom PG vs VG ratios are available. Lastly (but not least important) - Geoff has been available via online chat or phone to discuss his products and allow asking of questions regarding them. I have referred some friends who are not internet savvy or prefer to not purchase online (and no, they don't live in caves...) to tastyvapor because they can call Geoff to place their orders - an option that does not exist with a lot of the online e-liquid companies.
  7. I guess the key is to find the flavor / fluid / nic strength mix that you find satisfying enough to forego analogs. I know this a challenge for the noobie to vaping. For me, coffee flavors (ranging from cappuccino to mocha to a homespun mix of cappuccino and bailey irish creme) fit the bill and feed my other addiction (coffee). My wife loves the grape soda and Red hots. We used a variety of nic strengths ranging from 6mg through 24mg depending on the flavor to get the right "hit" to satisfy. My wife prefers the VG for the greater quantity of vapor. I get a little itchy if I have too much VG in my mixes. If you find a vape that you really enjoy, you will prefer it to analogs.
  8. Janty and Joye ego are the same product. There is no difference.
  9. Questions like yours can open a can full of worms with more opinions and ideas than you can shake a stick at. It is all a matter of give and take in the options you choose. In my humble experience, 1. This can depend as much on the juice as the hardware. VG based juices tends to produce more "vapor". 2. I prefer cartomizers during the day at work because I can usually make it through the day without having to re-drip. However, direct dripping in an atty produces a much more satisfying vape. 3. I love the ego batteries - I can vape all through my work day without having to recharge. I never got that from other ecigs - so that means less to carry around. So those were my opinions - I'm sure others have suggestions too.
  10. I think thephoenix is right with the use of limited drops directly into your atty so it will only produce decent vaping for a shorter period versus loading the atty or using a cartomizer. That way, like an analog, the ecig will "burn out" in terms of flavor and vapor (unless you re-drip) in a short period of time. This would provide the "beginning and end" you were looking for.
