I started out with a 510 back in December 2009, but in June (or was it May?!) 2010, I purchased an eGo...and so far I can safely say now that it was perhaps the next best thing since I bought myself a 510 starter kit. The others are pretty much the same as an eGo, though I do not know the exact estimate cost for them. The VaporTalk Store does have some eGos on stock, I believe, but if you're more interested in the Riva, Tornado, ect., it never hurts to look around. If you check on where there is the list of suppliers in the main forum, they're bound to have the right electronic cigarette for you on stock.

    My eGo

^ This link here should give you an idea what the eGo looks like, though it would be shorter and not have the "whistle tip" mouthpiece like mine does. Mine has a mega battery and a eGo atomizer, so I deeply apologize for providing a picture that is different from what a standard eGo would look like. They do come in different colors rather than just my black one. I do hope this was helpful for you.

JagSol reacted to Phaseman66 in Court Says Fda Authority Over E-Cigarettes Is Limited!
    Sure thing!

WASHINGTON—A U.S. federal appeals court in a decision Tuesday found that as long as electronic cigarettes aren't marketed as a way to treat or cure a disease, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has no authority to block the importation of the battery-powered products.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit ruled that the FDA's powers are limited when it comes to regulating e-cigarettes.

The FDA had appealed a federal judge's ruling that the agency doesn't have the authority to regulate electronic cigarettes.

In a case that tests the reach of the federal government's regulatory powers, the FDA said it does have the authority to regulate some products containing nicotine as though they are drugs and devices, such as nicotine patches and nicotine lollipops.

In January, U.S. District Judge Richard J. Leon sided with electronic-cigarette makers Smoking Everywhere Inc. and NJoy in finding that the FDA has no authority to regulate the products and can't stop them from entering the country. His opinion came with a preliminary injunction that allowed Smoking Everywhere and NJoy to continue importing their products into the country.

The FDA has seized shipments of electronic cigarettes, which contain nicotine and look and taste like cigarettes but don't contain tar, amid concerns the products were being marketed as safer alternatives to traditional tobacco. The FDA asserted its power by saying the electronic cigarettes were essentially drugs or devices that were being imported without FDA approval. Regulating the products as drugs or devices means the companies would have to conduct extensive clinical safety testing and apply for formal FDA approval.

Smoking Everywhere and NJoy are trying to avoid that. The companies say their products are used for recreation and, unlike nicotine patches, aren't used as smoking cessation aids.

Judge Leon's decision was based on a Supreme Court case decided in 2000 called FDA v. Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corp. In that case, the court decided that allowing cigarettes and smokeless tobacco products to be marketed as drugs or devices would result in their being banned from the market.

That case "leaves the FDA without jurisdiction over these products under the FDCA's [Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act] drug/device provisions," the appeals court said in Tuesday's decision.

After reading all of your comments, I apologize for broaching this subject on this forum. You can be assured that I will live the way I live and not take offense to anything that is said. Life is just too short to woryy about these kinds of things. In the future i will refrain from any mention of this subject regardless of what choices myself or my wife decide is comfortable for our lives together.

I was after all looking for input and you all have told me how strongly you feel about a subject such as this.

I will continue to visit this forum and I will continue to post, but I will censure my input to my own personal experiences and questions that relate only to me and my use of cigarettes and or e-cigarettes.

I thank you all for your comments and I apologize for broaching such a sensitive and controversial topic.

I will not encourage a non-smoker to try vaping. I just don't think it is a good idea, especially if they have never had the addiction to cigarettes. If it is stress she wants to tackle, I think she should find something else to calm it. I do see the attraction she might have with you picking up this new hobby and becoming very interested in it herself. This is a decision you should make with your wife. But please try and keep her to stay with the zero nic.

You know, almost all of your post have said the exact same thing in one form or another. You want to vape and you want your wife to vape, who doesn't.

I'm not sure what point your trying to make on the forum or where your going with this, but members have already given you their input, many times over. I personally think it's idiotic to start vaping if you don't smoke. Why bother? To relax? Have a cup of tea, exercise or read a book.

Either way it's your choice, but please, stop posting the same topic/post over and over again.

I think I've said this once a long time ago, but this is what I said: I chose to vape so I could avoid the same fate that happened to my dad: he died from a smoking-induced aneurysm at the age of 46. Another factor for choosing to vape is to save some money and let my daughter know that smoking is bad in general.

Human testing? Testimonies aren't enough... word of mouth. Yet symantics can get them banned. wait. Testimonies can get them banned too. No matter what is said or done, they can get banned. That says a lot about the politics of this whole thing.

Yeah man ok, but YOU have to realize there are people who are just starting out and go right to the forum for some very basic questions, when alot of this is covered on youtube, if you really know how to research something its not hard to sift thru the bs and get the info you need, alot of posts on both her threads people on this forum started to post youtube links to help her, just my 3 cents!

People new to vaping want fast answers not sift through a bunch of videos! That why we are here on this forum! We answer their basic questions not send them on a wild goose hunt. We try to explain this to everyone in terms they can understand. This is exactly what turns people off to so many forums! People telling them to go search for anything! If you want them to see something SEND THEM A LINK TO IT! Don't make them look blindly for it. Remember, these people are new and may not understand the lingo or know how to do a specific search. Everyone is not computer savy and to take the route of telling them to go look for something IS NOT the way we do things here at Vapor Talk. We are here to help new members as much as we can, but telling them to go looking for something they may not truly understand in the first place is just wrong.

First review. It's going to be awful, so let's just get it over with quickly; like ripping off a Bandaid or taking a drag off of a Blu. *BA-dam-CHING!!!*

    ...

Pina Colada- A very basic, but very good, pina colada flavor. It's strong on the pineapple it seems, but the elements are all there. Light and fresh, but very distinct. "If you like pina coladaaaaaas..." then it's worth trying. 4/5

Mint Chocolate Chip- Very strong on mint, but there is most definitely chocolate in there. Reminds me of Junior Mints or something. It provides an amazing freshening sensation combined with a subtle sweetness. Highly recommend it, unless you are a communist who hates chocolate and/or mint. In which case, out of my country. NOW. 5/5

Apple Pie- TV has a weekly sale in which they make about 4 flavors $10 each, as opposed to the already cheap $15. That's the only reason I bought Apple Pie, and I began to think I might regret it. It's actually very good. Apples, cinnamon, and maybe even a hint of caramel? I don't even eat apple pie, but this flavor is growing on me. 3/5

Kretek- I've never had a clove cigarette in my life. You will have to go ask someone else how accurate this flavor is, all I can tell you is that it is AMAZING. Strong flavor, very spicy, but also very sweet. Definitely tastes like Christmas (I really wish there was an intelligent-sounding way to say that.) This was another one I began to think I might regret, but I was dead wrong. 8/5 ("But Popsicle! You can't do that! That's an improper fraction!" I do what I want!)

Butter Rum- This is the reason I found out about Tasty Vapor. I bought a WetBox, and Missy tests each unit herself before shipping using the Butter Rum 0mg doubler. I smelled this on the bottle in my WetBox and immediately asked her what it was. That's how it started. One of my favorite flavors ever. Again, never had butter rum in my life, but this blows my mind. 10/5 (Really? 10/5? I'm starting to see why you all hate me so much. )

Tastyfinger- I like it. The initial wow-factor was taken away by the fact that I already had a liquid close to this flavor. But I like it and it's worth checking out. 3/5

Atomic Cinnacide- When I first got this, I didn't like it. It was too strong and I thought I would vape 3 drops of this per week, if that. As of now, I frequently vape it for days at a time. Sometimes I vape this so much that it's the only thing I can taste anymore. Sometimes I vape it so much it hurts. This is the only time since I began vaping that I feel like I am doing any kind of damage to myself. I love it. And I will be ordering a lot more of it. Once you get used to it, it's amazing. Very hot, very strong, fiery cinnamon. This is the only liquid so far that I have dedicated just one atomizer to; fittingly, it's a red 510. It has a nice throat hit, and if you vape it at 6 volts, I'd call it more of a throat apocalypse. I haven't vaped this higher than 6, but if you do, it was great having you as a member here. We'll miss you, but we will meet again someday. 50/5

So as anyone who talks to me regularly already knows, Tasty Vapor has now joined the ranks of suppliers that I am a fanboy of. 1 ounce of liquid for $15 (and $10 weekly specials), and either 2 or 4 ounces of 0mg for $15. The price is cheap but the quality is far from it. Try them out.
