I flew into Newark, NJ today for work. I fly frequently and vape the entire way. 3 30 ml bottles in carry on. Batteries one each in snack size ziplocks. Fixed voltage eGo in my shirt pocket topped with a mini protank that I fill after going through security. This is what I stealth vape the whole way. Never had a problem.

Do some research and choose the one with the features you want coupled with some degree of reliability over time. From my experience people will often tell you to get what is their own personal favorite. Their's may not necessarily wind up being your favorite. That's true for a whole host of products beside e-cig stuff.

It kinda looks like smoking. That's a real reach to be used as the basis for law. Another reason not to visit NYC.

I meant to mention that I bought one a few months ago and bought a second a couple of weeks ago in a different finish.

Svoemesto Semovar. Doubt you'll find a smoother vape. Modular construction. Russian engineered and manufactured in Germany. Uses the Nivel chip.

I've got Joye eGo batteries I bought when they first came out almost 4 years ago that charge up and perform well to this day. I've only a couple die over the years and all but 1 suffered an instant death. The 1 just slowly faded away. I have several twists and have only had 1 fail because it suffered a hard drop and the button jammed.

Have I used those original eGo's everyday for almost 4 years? No. When I did use them exclusively I had several in rotation. In the last few months I've started using them again because they're very pocketable for work and travel. I can't see myself carting around what appears to be a large 'marital aid' when I'm at work or other settings.

I just received my 30ml bottle of buttered popcorn a few minutes ago. Fast shipping and nice glass bottle with glass eye dropper cap. Gonna pop it in the ultrasonic tank right now to quick steep it.

Not seeing much of anything in stores here other than disposable pen style gear. The are a few vapers where I work. All but one or two are using eGo style batts with various toppers. One woman just started so I'm trying to help her out.

Was in Austin last week and ran into a couple of vapers on different evenings at the hotel bar. Both were fairly new to vaping so we swapped stories.

When I started vaping I saw NO ONE else and there was NOTHING in stores around here. So I guess things are picking up a bit.

I got a 510 kit in March 2010 never intending to quit smoking altogether. It was only to get me through a work day where I couldn't smoke for 9 - 10 hours. Despite my original intent I no longer felt a need to smoke and haven't since then. Almost 4 years.

    RMS - root mean square

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Root_mean_square

Look at the waveforms pictured. The first is rms. The modulation is much smoother. Mean modulation is much more coarse - basically switching the voltage source on-off-on-off-on-off at a rate where the mean voltage over time is the desired voltage output. It makes for a very hot vape and is harder on device coils than rms.

I've yet to encounter anyone that prefers mean over rms.

Until the media whipped propaganda campaign and attendant hysteria is over, if it's ever over, I just keep a low profile. You don't have to exhale a big vape cloud, drawing attention to yourself of course, to enjoy your vape.

But then there will always be those who want to draw attention to themselves. Are you within your rights to vape? Possibly, depending on city ordinance or property owner's rules. Is it a smart move in the current climate where vapers are trying to gain public acceptance through education? NO.

The same way you deal with people firmly entrenched in their religious beliefs when you are an atheist. You don't bring it up, unless you know you can have a calm, rational discussion (and you know you won't get kicked out of the house for it. Sadly, I know of some even minor atheists that were kicked out of their homes when they told their parents they don't believe in any god.).

IF the topic comes up again, and the whole flavor thing comes up again, ask your grandfather this. If they were aimed at getting kids back on analogs (which kid use of analogs has DECREASED), why the flavors? Analogs don't have flavors, so, well, no one who ENJOYS flavors, like I'm assuming kids would, and most adults do, would have even LESS reason to smoke analogs. Straight tobacco taste is nasty to me now. Ten to 15 years ago there used to be a buttload of "artificial flavorings", very subtle added to analogs, until the FDA took control of tobacco products and outlawed any analog flavoring other than menthol. Any time they pass a law requiring someone be over 18 to purchase e-cigs or e-cig paraphernalia, I'm in favor it. Luckily, even my local news stations are getting the message that people don't lose their tastebuds at 18, and they enjoy the flavors now more than ever because they can actually TASTE better - and the purpose is to have a vape that tastes better than the analog, right?

But your best bet is to avoid the topic. If it comes up because you both see a news story on it at the same time, or he brings up an article he read, just say, "It's best that we agree to disagree, all right?" Just because you are related and living together doesn't mean you can't have differing opinions, and grandparents, well, they aren't likely to change their opinion. I have a family member who quit by using the patch when they were still by prescription - it took twice as long as it normally would, but it worked - and he sees vaping as just a substitute for smoking, so technically that person is still smoking.....even if a person works their way down to zero nic, he's sure that person would pick up an analog if he/she stopped vaping. He wasn't happy when I told him that the numbers show more people successfully put analogs downs from vaping than by any other method, although we did agree the chemical methods - Wellbutrin and Chantix - are dangerous.

Just keep your head down, and keep telling yourself that it won't be long until you have your own place. And don't talk about subjects that cause arguments.

It will shorten the life or even pop it if you dry burn at too high a voltage. I always did dry burns with a standard non-twist eGo. They dip to 3.2 volts when you fire a coil. I would dry burn a couple seconds at a time until the coil windings glowed a clean red.

Smoking won't kill you instantly. If you grow sick with cancer or whatever the various entities that own the politicians will then get a growing piece of your paycheck. As long as you have insurance you are a revenue generator until you're finally in the ground or reduced to ashes.
