I don't have a hypothesis, but I'll give you a bit more info on me - in case it helps.
I started out smoking full flavor cigarettes. Now this was waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy back when cigarettes were 45 cents a pack. When you could buy them in machines anywhere and everywhere - with just some spare change. When there weren't very many different brands and there certainly weren't any lights or ultra lights. I went down to lights a lot of years ago when I was going to quit smoking because of the price. By then they had jumped to $1.00 a pack. I figured if I cut down on the nic, I might be able to wean myself off of them. Nope. Didn't work. But I stayed with the lights for years and years. Then I did the same thing when I switched to ultra lights a few years ago when they jumped to $2.00 a pack. Still didn't help me quit. Nothing helped until I learned about and tried vaping. I did start with the 36mg, but quickly dropped to 24mg. I was probably at 18mg the longest, but I dropped very quickly down to 6mg and then 3mg. But that could be because I was smoking ultra lights at last. I don't know. I never thought about it. I just know the complete switch for me was the easiest thing ever and I had tried several different ways and devices to quit before and none of them worked.

I'm another one that has to see that cloud of vapor to feel satisfied. It never made much sense to me, but I quit trying to figure it out. I just vape on.

I easily go through 6ml per day. Usually more. I've even gone through 12ml in a day. I vape almost non-stop most days, but it depends on what I'm doing. I can be busy doing something and notice that I haven't picked up my PV in 3 hours and I'm not craving it either. Seems strange, but then I probably always have been a bit strange. I know that when I smoked, I could not have made it over an hour without a smoke or I would have been pulling my hair out. I know because I tried it when I'd try to quit smoking. I just couldn't do it until I started vaping.

Absolutely less nic!!! The nic level doesn't have much to do with my vaping anymore. I vape a lot of 0mg and some 6mg. The coffee flavor I LOVE doesn't come that low, so I get it in 11mg. I don't vape a lot of it because I use it as my "desert" or my "treat".

I don't know if it's age or vaping, but I don't seem to get nearly as stressed as I used to. I wonder if it has to do with not having to worry about when or where I can get my next smoke. Maybe because I can vape anytime, anywhere I want to, it keeps me a lot calmer.

I switch around several times a day. Mostly I just use my handy dandy little eGo and drip, but I use the others, too.

Answer to #1 0mg should be fine and BTW 11mg is pretty low so I wouldn't be worried. Nicotine absorption is 3 to 10 times slower than traditional cigarettes which results in no acute cardiac side effects. Bonus!!! Just to let you know the health risks of nicotine are about equal to that of caffeine. At least that's what the science is pointing to as of right now. Nicotine in itself has never been linked to cancer or heart disease. It's some of the other 4,000 chemicals in cigarettes that do. I actually know a lady who was borderline COPD and her Dr. told her that if she didn't stop smoking in the next yr. the effects more than likely would be permanent. She told him that she was going to try an electronic cigarette and he strongly advised against it (ignorance). She did and a yr. later her lungs have started to heal, she is no longer borderline COPD, she vapes 12mg strength nicotine and shows up negative on her blood tests for nicotine, and her Dr. refers patients to her for help getting set up and quitting. He even asks her for the business cards of the vendors she gets her liquid from to hand out to his patients. I say this to let you know that even if you don't completely get off the nicotine to not go back to smoking as this is a way better and healthier alternative. I do applaud you for the conviction to do so though. I also do echo the water thing. Stay hydrated. Also listen to your body if you start to get a stomach ache or a headache lay off the nicotine for awhile. Answer #2 Your math is right on point with the proportions. Money out of pocket initially is a hit but will balance out once you find a juice you really like. (that's if this doesn't become a hobby for you like it has for me. I have yet to break even I think, but I'm an exception. You don't need multiple $200+ mods to stop smoking.) You can really offset the price if you start making your own juice but I wouldn't advise you do that just yet even though it really isn't that hard. If you can bake a cake you can certainly make your own juice. Concentrate getting a juice you really like first and getting off the stinkies. Answer #3 I hate to be a bit of a downer but nothing you do to the juice will EVER make it taste like a cigarette. There the cat's out of the bag! You just can't duplicate the taste of chemically treated burning leaves. Don't fret though not all is lost. You have a huge advantage going for you. Menthol as you have found out is easy to duplicate yet just not in the proportion you like. Menthol smokers usually have an easier transition into vaping than non menthol smokers do. Menthol goes really, really well with fruit flavors. Here's a very popular vendor that is known for really good fruit and menthol flavors. They even allow you to choose how much menthol you would like. http://rawrvapor.com I think you'll really like them. Remember that even if you don't like a specific juice that there are literally 1,000s of flavors out there. Just stick with it and congrats of making an awesome life changing choice.

Yesterday my E-cigarette kit was finally here in the mail! I came home from work at 8:30 pm and went to work.

    1. Unpack the goods. Realize that 3 ml, 5 ml and 10 ml of E-juice bottles are rather on the small side.

    2. Unpack the E-cigarette set. Read the chinese-english manual. Realize that this manual ain't helping you. Decide to figure it out on your own.

    3. Screw the battery into the charger. Wonder why the light is still blue though the battery should not be fully charged. Figure out after 10 minutes that you need to screw the battery tighter to actually get the red light and have it charging.

    4. Realize you have two manual batteries. How did they work again? Watch 15 youtube videos about how to use manual batteries.

    5. Decide to fill your first empty cartomizer. Get your blunt syringe ready for it, after having watched 3 youtube videos about syringe filling. Try to get the e-liquid to the 1 ml mark. Realize that you do something wrong because you can only pull up half a ml. Try to get that half ml in your cartomizer without punching holes in the filling. Get about half of the half ml in the cartomizer. Try to put the rest of the liquid back in the e-liquid bottle. Get a vacuum between the bottle and the needle, and when pulling the needle out, detach the needle and spray e-juice over your face, hands, and your cashmere pullover. Soak the pullover in cold water, wash hands and face, and decide to simply drip the rest of the liquid in. Clean cartomizer.

    6. After the battery is fully charged, attach the cartomizer to the battery. Cartomizer has settled for about an hour and should be good without burning. Put e-cigarette to lips and realize you had some e-juice on the mouthpiece...eeew. Finally depress the manual button, and try to take a puff. Hm. small vapor. Play around a bit and realize pressing the button first, then waiting a second, and then puffing actually works better. Enjoy the taste of your first choice E-liquid, Nuport by Dekang. Realize it does not taste anything like Newports.

    7. Have a fight with your husband because you are all cranky and in a weird mood but can't quite figure out why. Continue said moodswings throughout the day, though you vape as you would usually smoke. Realize late in the afternoon that the first e-liquid you chose had 0 nicotine in it....which explains the weird mood swings *facepalm*.

    8. Fill a cartomizer with cool menthol e-liquid 12 mg and relax and enjoy .

I think I'd blame it on the flu or something - not vaping. I don't blame vaping for anything. LOL

Seriously, I hope you're feeling better by now.

p.s. by dropping the mg, you can vape more.
