That's the best part though. He wants the interviews to be assuming. Interviewing 'adults' wouldn't produce the same humorous statements, or would it?! : ) Check out his other videos on other topics.

No, that's not correct. E Liquid strengths are measured per ML. A 10ml bottle that is 24mg in strength contains 24mg per milliliter. You get about 1MG of nicotine per analog usually; but, this depends on the analog.

If you're using 1ML a day at 24MG that's equal to 24 analogs. I go through about 3ML a day at 16MG (16MG x 3ML=48MG/analogs). I was only smoking 3/4 a pack of analogs a day so my intake of Nicotine is way higher with an eCig than it was with analogs.

Furthermore, it doesn't matter how much liquid is in a bottle, the strength is not dependent upon volume. That also means a 10ML bottle of 24mg juice would have 240mg of nicotine in it (24MG x 10ML). Likewise, a 30ml bottle of 24mg e-liquid would have 720mg of nicotine in it (24mg x 30ml).

I have a couple different atomizers each for different flavor categories, sweet, tobacco, coffee/cappuccino, etc. If I plan on using the same atomizer with a similiar type flavor, I usually just blow the atomizer out or just add the 'new' drops depending on the situation.

I usually only blow my atomizer out every couple of weeks. I believe doing it nightly is overkill. If you have the time to do it go for it, otherwise once a week should be sufficient. I avoid rinsing as it seems unnecessary, the new flavor will definitely push out the old flavor after a while, depending on the flavor of course.

When I first started vaping I had so many new flavors that I wanted to try, the problem was when I wanted to try a new flavor I would just put the new drops in there; and, I didn't know which ones stayed in the atomizer and which ones didn't. Using a beverage flavor then switching to chocolate back to a sweet flavor doesn't work well at all because the chocolate is ever present.

DSE, Joye, KR, are the manufactures. The number, 808, 510, is the model. It will refer to the battery and atomizer size and threads.

DSE808 and KR808 don't use the same cart or threads. The DSE808 uses the DSE801 atomizer.

"I have a 510 starter kit" - Means it has the 510 battery and atomizer.
"I use a 510 atomizer on my Joye eGo" - The eGo meaning the battery and 510 as the atomizer.

Just like phone companies, Nokia makes the 8900 and Blackberry makes the 8900. Neither use the same parts but have the same model number. That was just an example for you DSE808 vs KR8080 statement.

Most of the time, things match up though. DSE and Joye both make a 510 and they're parts are interchangeable.

It may seem overwhelming at first, it was for all of us as well. Just stick with it and over time you'll learn. It's just not something you get right way. When I started working at a cellphone store I was confused what phones only worked for T-Mobile, At&t and which were unlocked; but, in hindsight it seems like a very simple concept.

Like Nana, I've tried a ton of different units in the market since I started vaping, Joye 306, M401, Joye/DSE 510, DSE801, DSE901, DSE905, PS Protege, PS Protege Passthrough, VP2, VP Passthrough, Joye/Janty eGo, Carlos Juice Box, Wetbox, and multiple other box mods. After a long time of using the PS Protege and PS Passthrough as my daily units, I finally came back to the Joye eGo with LR901 atomizer. It's my every day, all day vape.

Everyone has different preferences; I really don't like cartomizers and I'm still on the search for a good one on the go.

For a beginner I would recommend just leaving the wick in so you don't have to mess around with the atomizer. If you're using the carts that come with the unit, those aren't very reliable; I would direct drip if you have juice.

Every time I get a new atomizer I put a paper towel under the atomizer where the battery threads are and blow into the cartridge so the primer juice is blown onto the paper towel. Then I add about 4-6 drops. If I get a burnt taste I add more juice. After that point everything should be working fine (flavor, vapor, etc). Then you would continue adding 3 drops everything the flavor and or vapor diminishes.

Furthermore, if you're still getting the burnt taste after blowing out the primer juice and dripping for a while, you may have gotten a defective atomizer. This does happen and you should contact the supplier and let them know the issue.

Those numbers can refer to the unit itself or either the battery or atomizer. If someone says I have a 801 they probably have the DSE801 battery/atomizer combo. If someone says, "I'm using a vp2(battery mod) with an 801" it refers to the 801 atomizer. Same goes with the other models. The atomizer of choice for a lot of people is the 510 so you'll hear that a lot. For instance the Joye eGo comes standard with the 510, meaning the eGo is the battery and it uses the Joye 510 atomizer.

Edit: Those three atomizers types are the most popular, with good reason, so you'll hear them refereed to the most. The 801 and 901 are made by SLB so you'll see DSE801/DSE901. Joye makes the Joye510 but a lot of other companies now make the 510 unit/atomizer/battery as well; such as SLB (DSE510). Joye is known for having high quality products, most of the time : )

PG is Propylene Glycol. The difference between the two is vapor production and flavor. VG is supposed to give more vapor but it can cut the flavor a little, while PG does the opposite. This is kind of subjective and I've heard both sides of the story. People get a PG/VG mix to get the best of both worlds. I don't particularly like VG or mixes. Each person is different so what may work for some, doesn't work for you. A lot of this game is trial and error.

By the way, 25 carts for 25$ isn't a very good deal. I would stick to direct dripping or refilling the carts. You can get Juice on tons of online vendors, I would check out the Certified Suppliers of the forum. I've ordered Juice from about 20 different places, some I liked, others not so much.

Good luck finding what's right for you.

To Christopher and fellow members of Vaportalk. In light of the recent news that the NY senate is in the works or rather has banned the sales of our beloved Ecigs. I simply ask this of Chris..PLEASE, for all that is good in this world. Let NOTHING happen to this site.Since coming here several days ago, this is my number 2 site that I come to on a daily basis. It's first,Broncosforums.com so that I can keep track of my favorite football team and then over here to vaportalk. This is ONE HELL of a website and I get nervous that the ecig business will slowly begin to fall into despair as this thing happening in NY is not going to stop. How they can deem it worthy of banning sales for is just beyond me. My wife who absolutely despises me smoking analogs and who has spent many a night crying and pleading with me to please quit so that we can live a long and happy life together, now sits on the couch with me watching movies as I vape away like no tomorrow. A goofy grin on her face whenever she sees the little blue LED. She knows that I enjoy smoking and that it has become a part of my daily life, but now...I am making moves to better my health in a positive, alternative way. I will never bash smokers for smoking, It's just something that I choose not to do anymore. Im a vaper and proud of it.

So, my main point is this. This website is such a vast source of knowledge for all of us and I just ask that we all stick together on this.Smoking is something that brings people together. I don't know how often I would smoke outside my favorite restaurant and just meet a damn cool person because we lit up a smoke and had a great talk.Whether you are an analog smoker or now a vaper, We are all a fellowship because we all understand the health concerns, the joys, and the pains in the ***'s of smoking. If it came down to the point where Christopher had to charge a monthly fee in order to keep this site up because the sales became suddenly shut off or whatever methods are used to keep the site up fell through.I would GLADLY pay it and I would like to think that Im not the only one alone on that mentality.

Thats all, sorry for the rant all. Im just so fired up right now, but on the flip side. Im so thankful that Ive a place to go where folks understand what I am going through. Thanks Chris, all moderators and fellow posters for this site. It's seriously like therapy for me.

NeRo9k reacted to Wompa1 in $0.02 If Your Considering Quiting
    Hello all,

When i was looking into these, i found alot of videos and reviews that seemed more like paid advertisements. I wanted jump in and give some first impressions for people who are reading posts and considering trying this out as i was a week ago. I don't have any questions, and if you have been vaping for more than a day you probably wont find any great insights either. This post is really for smokers who are thinking about vaping as an alternative and are on the fence.

    Quick backround...

I am a 29 year old computer tech with two kids and a mortgage, not a whole lot of money to spend on frivolous things, so i did alot of post reading and web research before jumping in. i have been a pack a day smoker for almost 15 years. Marlboro Lights or Camel lights, (which ever i had a coupon for). I have wanted to quit smoking for a long time. My previous attempts have been pretty lame. I tried patches, Gum, and cold turkey, no luck though. I think 6 days without smoking is not enough time to call myself a nonsmoker, but it is better than i have done before. I still have cravings, sometimes fairly intense cravings, but they are manageable. I don't feel like I'm immediate danger of smoking at this point, I'm not pulling out my hair, or eating buckets of ice cream, but again i am only 6 days in.

    The First Vape..

After maybe 6 hours over a couple of days of reading posts, news, watching vids, and in general gathering info I placed an order. I think my expectations where set a little to high, i was doing that check the mail 2 times a day thing. It was a little anti-climactic in the end. I kind of imaged a moisturizing mist of cool vapor soothing my throat and filling my lungs. The truth falls short of this but the sensation is not at all unpleasant, in fact on day 6 i would call my self a major fan. But I feel like its import to say Vaping is not like Smoking. I have been trying to think of an analogy to compare the two, this falls short but image you smoke unfiltered camel wides and someone gives you an ultra light. Regardless of how big of a drag you take or how big of a cloud of smoke you exhale, it doesn't feel like its filling your lungs as much as your old brand. I am smoking a manual 510, if i use the higher dose liquid i will cough i get so much sensation on my throat, but again it is not a cigarette and feels different. Please don't let this discourage you from buying, I'm quite satisfied now, but did not get exactly what i was expecting.

    Flavor...

I read alot of people describing or reviewing the flavor of specific juice, what i had not read and will attempted to describe is the taste common to all the Vapor i have tried. Again i will mention i have only done this for 6 days, I am no expert, and have only tried about 8 flavors and two brands thus far, my hope is to set others expectations a little closer to the mark.

Black Cherry Vapor is as much like Black Cherry as Black Cherry tobacco is. The Vapor itself has a kind of Base Flavor. A Flavorless vapor came with my starter kit and is kind of like the essence of all the other vapors. The un-flavored vapor tastes sort of like watered down syrup. Faintly sweet, and perhaps a bit oily flavored. I can taste this same familiar flavor in all the different juices i have tried. If you are hoping like i was on trying to duplicate the experience of smoking a cigarette with flavor, don't get your expectations to high. The tobacco flavors i have tried are good, and taste like tobacco, but also taste a bit like bread to me, with that same slightly oily, watery syrup base. It is more pleasant that it sounds, but not exactly like tobacco, or peaches, or whatever flavor you have decided to try out.

While the taste was not what i was expecting, it is actually quite good. I never liked menthol cigarettes, but really enjoy menthol vapor for some reason, I suppose it is the same as not liking cherry flavored chewing gum, but liking cherry pie.

    Nicotine...

This may be a mental thing, but i think i can feel a more direct link with nicotine while vaping. This may sound over dramatic, but its sort of a sharpening of my vision, and a focusing of my thoughts. Perhaps the smoke of a cigarette cancels this interesting effect of nicotine when smoking analogs, or maybe its all mental, but i swear i feel a direct effect where i did not notice one before. As for the dose thats best, this part i feel like i am having the hardest time figuring out. I have tried 11mg, and 18mg juice. My starter kit also came with a 24mg cart. I think I am ok with either the 11mg or the 18mg, but do still have cravings. I Tend to Sip on this thing all day, so i hesitate to get a higher dose. During my Cold Turkey attempted at quiting, I learned that there is a major difference between a craving and a withdrawal. I have had no withdrawal since i started using this, but cravings have been somewhat sharp at times. When i have a strong craving i follow the Vapor Talk adage "Drip, Vape, Repeat" and it DOES go away.

    E-Cig in practice...

I have found E-Cigs to be INFINITELY more convenient to use than analogs. I never have to run to the store because i am out, If someone bums a cig from you, you get it BACK (how cool is that). I don't have a lighter to lose, have stolen, or drop under the seat of my car. Biggest advantage of all i don't smell like a cigarette any more, This cannot be understated. In just 6 days, i can smell smoke on my jacket as soon as i open my closet. I would have never guessed, despite how many people told me, but if you smoke a pack a day or more, you smell like cigarettes from across a room. If you have heard this before, and didnt believe it, take my word they are telling you the truth, and not just being snooty non-smokers like we all assume.

I have read a few people who find it annoying to refill their cartridges, i have not found this to be the case. vape for a while, 2-3 drops in the cart, 2 on the atty and keep going. easy as can be. small 3ml plastic bottles have been very helpful because i drive around alot for work. 2 batteries get me through about 6 hours maybe more. Car charger fixes that problem, its actually quite convenient.

    Other Thoughts...

I did some math and figured that by the time i had vaped for three weeks without buying any cigarettes i would break even. I have found that it is saving me more than i expected, The reason for this is when i run to the store or gas station to buy a couple of packs, I almost always buy a Coke, or a Coffee, maybe a Snikers, or any other of 1000 things that i don't need. I now stop at the gas station and do all my business at the pump, saving not only the 7 dollars on the pack of smokes, but another 3 or 4 bucks on crap.

Anyway, I just thought i would share my first impressions, the good and the bad. Hope you try it out. it is alot of fun, very different and has helped me alot more than patches or gum ever did.

    ~Wompa
