Selling fake parts and starter kits = not cool - One of the most popular electronic cigarette brands is Joye Tech. The models created by this company are sturdy, long lasting and reliable. They have become so popular it's no a surprise to see that a string of knock off products flood the market.

While some of the knock off models actually work ok, suppliers should not sell you a product under false or tricky methods. If you went to a dealership to purchase a BMW and where instead given a Ford with a BMW body, would you not feel ripped off? I know we sure would! Even if the car worked well, you didn't ask for a Ford you wanted a BMW. It's time to put the power back in your hands. Remember the old saying if the price seems to good to be true, it probably is.

Like any company, Joye has some characteristics that you can use to make sure your not being ripped off.

 

Let's take a look at the cartridge - Material for the liquid resistant dispenser in the cartridge is different. The right one is real Joye 510 The fake 510 uses silica gel while real Joye 510 uses plastic.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Atomizer - When you pull out the cartridge, you can see there is a stainless steel ring inside of the fake 510 atomizer. Tisk tisk. The right atomizer is the real Joye 510 atomizer. You'll also notice the Joye 510 bridge is thinner and has more "web" than the fake does. Factories are getting smarter and we've noticed that the fakes are now coming without the ring. Don't worry there are still other ways to tell! It's best to always shop with a trusted supplier.

The Battery -  The button color is different. All buttons for the Joye 510 are black color no matter what the color of battery is. While the fake model in this image uses white button for it's white battery. Busted.

Inside the battery -  This is an important part of the electronic cigarette, the last thing you want is a shady battery blowing up on you. You'll notice on the right the genuine Joye battery. The left however has it's wires hanging out and uses a cheap switch board for the switch.

 

 

 

Quality control card...not -  This is cute, in fact we have to give China props on this little idea. A QC card...Joye Tech does not include QC cards in their final packages. Nice try though.

 

Remember companies are getting better and better at making copies. Shop with a trusted supplier!
